A wonderful experience

Stayed here for a year and a half and would still be here if life didn't pull me to the west coast. Jawana and Wilmarie are an EXCEPTIONAL property management team. Sure there are newer places in the area, BUT you won't feel as warm and supported the way you do here. Plus, there's secured entry, security ar all times, package reception, and all utilities are included - which means no surprises. You can't beat it.

This is the perfect building if you want a quick walk to the downtown newark area, great restaurants and you have the Prudential and the NJ PAC for all your entertainment needs. The lobby areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. Unlike other apartments in this area, it has a large courtyard , lounge chairs and dining tables. It’s like having a touch of country right in the middle of the city.

Studio is spacious with central air. The windows are large and provide a great view of downtown Newark. The building is a high rise with 22 floors, so when one of the elevators are not working in can be a hassle. maintenance issues are resolved quickly. There is outdoor parking for a fee. The common areas are always kept clean. There is a small gym in the lobby,unfortunately one or both of the treadmills are always out of order. There is a 24 hour security guard in the front desk. My husband and I moved to Hallmark House almost exactly one year ago and we absolutely love it here. We are both originally from Brooklyn, New York and when it came time for us to look into finding an apartment, Hallmark House was our first choice. We were scheduled to meet with the leasing agent Lisa who was really sweet and professional. Since we are both young college students we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg just for an studio apartment. The price offered to us fit perfectly within ...

our budget and we were approved the same day. There is a criminal background check, credit check, and employment verification aka pay stubs. The area wasn't as bad as I've thought. Maybe because I'm from New York, I've seen my share of craziness but the people in Newark don't compare to the people living in some parts of Brooklyn. All in all I would recommend Hallmark House Apartments to those who are looking to pay reasonable rent and can pass the screening process. Good luck!

I've been living in my apartment for over 5 years. The management is great and the maintenance staff on point. The location can be better because it is close to public transportation and just 10 minutes away from the airport. There is 24 hours public transportation to New York City and takes only 20 minutes. The whole Mack hous The hallmark house apartment are great.
