Car vandalized due to broken security gate
July 15, 2024My car was vandalized due to the broken security gate. Over $2000 in damage. This damage is a direct result of the security gate being left open. In the short time he's been there, the gate has never worked. This is not a 'gated' community. I do not recommend living here. Please fix the gate!!!!Review from Apartments.com
Newer owners do not care
August 9, 2023I lived here August 2020-October 2022. I do not recommend purely due to the owners. They do not care even a little about the residents. When I left, the volleyball court was destroyed, the tennis court was damaged, but the pool was decent. My AC broke 3 times, the first time it took them 2-3 days to fix it and my apartment was 90 degrees. They didn’t offer me another place to stay during this. Not sure what cheap materials they’re using for it to break 3 times in 2 years. My washer broke around ...June 2022 and they NEVER replaced it. They always gave me an excuse and didn’t compensate me at all for paying to use their washers. I moved out 2 weeks early and they charged me for an extra day They kept a big chunk of my deposit over the stupidest things and took a long time to refund the “extra day” of rent that never happened. When I moved in, the screen door was damaged, kitchen cabinets were damaged, and windows were broken. It’s not worth it. The gates were constantly left open as well, so forget safety. Random people WILL come knock on your door. The parking passes are ridiculous too. Clear greedy move. Go somewhere where the management at least treats you like a human being.Property Manager Responded

Pictures are deceiving
May 24, 2022Just moved in here sight unseen hoping the photos and reviews would be an accurate representation of what to expect. They are not. Our apartment is so small and dingy and all the appliances and cabinets haven’t been updated in YEARS. Definitely do not recommend.Property Manager Responded

Great place to live
February 3, 2020Moving to Columbia for work was stressful. The office staff was great in assisting me. They're always friendly when I call or stop by to pick up a package. Recently maintenance stopped by to replace my smoke detector battery. They offered to take my trash on their way out. I have made some new friendships with my neighbors. So far this has been a great experience! I highly recommend Hampton Greene for anyone looking to live in the Columbia area.Property Manager Responded

Don’t live here
January 7, 2020This is the worst run apartment complex I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I no longer live here, best decision I’ve ever made. Management only cares about money and doesn’t care about insuring that the apartments are safe for you to live in. This complex is a complete violation of habitable tenant rights. If you decide to live here, don’t let them put you on the first floor. They use cheap vinyl flooring and any movement in the apartment above you can be heard. Ventilation is terrible and the air ...condition/heat system is old. Hope you like a dusty apartment because you’re apartment will never be clean.Property Manager Responded

Well Recommended
February 4, 2019I lived here for about a year, and would highly recommend. My only complaints were minor: -The gates leading into the driveway/parking lot took a little time to get used to -The driveway didn't have sidewalks throughout the entire lot, at times making it awkward -Not all packages were delivered to the door, which when I had bigger stuff delivered (and that was just me), it was tough moving it from their office. That most were brought to the door was really nice. Highlights: -Super close to ...retail (including a good liquor/beer store and Publix, and the first time I could say a Target was in walking distance to my apartment) and highways -Parking lot was open, making it easy if someone visited -Not 20 minutes to drive downtown, and while not "the big city," Rosewood has some fun bars -I had an in-unit washer and dryer, which for the cost was a major value. Plenty of washer/dryers otherwise. -The road it's on is off a major state/road or highway, tucked back a little into the woods, so it was generally quiet -Office and maintenance staff were prompt, respectful, and courteousProperty Manager Responded

Great
September 23, 2015I've just moved into hampton greene apartments this month and I love it so far. It's a peaceful gated community. It has a nice leasing office that holds events for us every month. Maintenance is pretty fast about fixing things. I love the fitness area, pool, and car center. I gave it 4 stars because I live on the first floor and I can hear the people upstairs from us when they walk, flush the toilet and take a shower.
