Building 9HP next to the leasing office, has serious rodent, maintenance, & noise issues future residents should know about.
Shortly after moving in, I reported signs of rodents. Management sent an exterminator who placed basic traps that caught one mouse, but the problem was never resolved.
Recently, I woke up to find my 6lb dog’s food bowl completely emptied overnight. I found torn food packaging, droppings, scuff marks, tail marks, and other signs of a large rodent. I reported it ...
immediately and was told an exterminator could come the following week.
I hired my own exterminator the next day, who confirmed the presence of a large rat and set professional traps. I also installed a Ring camera that captured video evidence. The photos and videos were shown to the assistant manager, property manager, and leasing staff, but my email remains unanswered.
The property also has major maintenance issues. The AC closet contains a large hole in the ceiling, water damage, mold growth, and standing water in the water heater drain pan. Water has been leaking beneath the floorboards, potentially affecting both my unit and the apartment below. After management repeatedly attempted undocumented inspections while bypassing my requests for communication, I contacted the City and BSO.
A Sheriff inspected the conditions, documented my concerns, and agreed they were deplorable. I also filed complaints with the Department of Agriculture regarding both the rodent infestation and the condition of the AC unit.
When seeking answers, I was often met with delayed responses, dismissive communication, or no response at all. I frequently had to visit the leasing office because emails and phone calls went unanswered. After refusing to leave without a resolution, I was trespassed by Anyeleys after challenging her handling of the situation.
Residents are charged for services that are not consistently provided. Trash pickup regularly skips bags left in designated locations, and walkway lights have been broken for months, leaving areas dark at night.
There has also been significant turnover among leasing staff. Several helpful and professional employees are no longer there, and communication has noticeably declined since their departure.
If you’re considering moving here, be prepared to deal with rodents, duck poop, trash at your door, water damage, mold, excessive noise, inconsistent services, poor communication, and unresolved maintenance issues.
