Current Tenant with Neglected Maintenance Issues

I am a current tenant in a 3 bedroom/2bath apartment, I have been here for approximately 30 years and recently within the last 2 years been dealing with poor maintenance requests. I am elderly now and feel neglected by the management and maintenance within the building. Over the past two years I have been waiting for repairs on several issues within my unit. I have plaster falling from the ceiling in the master bedroom, several windows are off track, and the window frames are broken allowing ...
the glass to falling out. Currently, I have been dealing with my master bathroom leaking from the ceiling and when maintenance came to check it, the portion of the ceiling with water damage fell down along with all the water within the ceiling upon the maintenance worker. There was mold present and had to be removed. Afterwards, the maintenance worker cut out the ceiling damaged drywall and left an opening in the ceiling that exposed the pipes and an opening to the apartment above me. They stated that the ceiling needs to dry out before it can be fixed. Therefore, maintenance stated they would be back to make repairs and replace the drywall then. The ceiling drywall was replaced but the leaked was not fixed. As a result, the ceiling drywall was removed again for the water leak. Now, repairs supposedly have been done to repair the leak. Currently, my ceiling has been exposed for 3 months, and no one has come to close the opening although I am constantly asking the management office. To make things worse, they have increased the rent and not offered me any compensation for my aggravation and loss of access to my bathroom. I have constantly been paying my rent on time and still been neglected of maintenance repairs. Therefore, I have been talking to family, and I am ready to leave and go to another apartment. I hate to move because I have been here so long and the price for rent has skyrocketed since COVID, but I feel that I have no other choice.

Leasing office not very communicative about applications! I had to call and ask for an update several times over 2 weeks and they just kept saying “we’ll let you know tomorrow. I moved on to other options but my application still says pending and I haven’t heard anything from them this entire week, which makes week #3. Also the reviews online say they have severe roach problems and problem with the building it self. Reports of bedbugs also.

We strive to provide all residents with a pleasant experience, and should any maintenance or pest issues arise, we encourage residents to notify us as soon as possible so we can resolve the concerns. This is why we have a detailed pest management addendum that specifies proper protocol to address these concerns. K&D performs bi-annual suite inspects in addition to the annual City of Euclid Housing Department inspections to check all units for living conditions, resident upkeep and any unreported maintenance issues. they don't care about you, they told me they had no meters when i was getting my electricity turned on, my mailbox lock didnt work and it's waayyy overpriced. people leave garbage in the elevators and stairwell, and the stairwell smells like weed. Things are constantly broken like the laundry room cars machine and the workout room door. avoid this place like the plague

Our records indicate that at the time of your move-in there was an issue with the electrical breaker to your unit, which was addressed the same day and corrected the following day. Also, we regularly have the equipment in the laundry room serviced, but if you do find an issue there are phone numbers located on the equipment that you may call as well. We are pleased to say that we are in the process of having the work out equipment in the fitness center serviced in the very near future. I was previously renting from harbor crest apartments through K&D property group and my experience was horrible They eventually decided to allow me to break my lease with a full refund of my security deposit because of the poor service they provided. My lease should have been effective from 11/10/14-11/10/15 however we had an amicable seperation 02/01/2015
