March 23, 2026When I first moved in, the team was INCREDIBLE. That’s why we moved there. Then they changed. And everything became awful. Patti and Maria are extremely unprofessional and hard to work with, they don’t respond to calls or emails for weeks, if they even respond. I’ve been asking for a copy of my lease for 3 months, still never got it. There’s so many places to live in San Antonio, PICK ANYWHERE ELSE.Review from Apartments.com

April 24, 2024Hardy Oak has been the best apartment experience I've had. Management is prompt and responsive. The neighborhood is quiet while being close to great schools and a grocery store. July 24, 2023Origainally this apartment seemed great as I was the first and only tenant. Things started to fall apart fast. Appliances are cheap and trash, no insulation between floors. Had constant banging up from downstairs neighbor when I would literally walk across the room or my dog would chew a bone… had bathtub crack and property gave me the runaround for 9 months. Staff is nice and friendly and great people just relatively unhelpful. Property management company has been horrible. False promises to ...get you to renew. Also, if you don’t accept your 10% raised rates they will call you the last couple weeks and see if you’ll stay for discounted or same price. Dog park never clean. June 21, 2023I LOVE living at this complex. I've lived at several different places in the area now and this one is the best. The residents are nice, the view is great, and the staff are wonderful. The complex is quiet while being close to schools and neighborhood amenities, like the grocery store and restaurants.Property Manager Responded

December 5, 2022I've never written a review of a property, but my experience has been so poor that now I feel compelled to. They constantly have issues with their payment portal. The second month I moved in their payment went down, and then they did not sufficiently notify residents that they would have to pay via money order or check. The day the rent was due I attempted to pay through their portal, and it was down. The following I went into their office and let them know that I couldn't pay via their portal. ...They said, "yes we know, that's we are giving residents until the end of today to pay via money order." I let them know that I could get a money order after I get off at 6 pm and slide it under the door. Their response was "no that won't work because we have to process it by 6 pm." So I ended up having to pay a late fee of nearly $200. I made a complaint to the property manager. The following month, when I went to pay my rent via the portal (which supposedly had been fixed by then) my account showed a credit of nearly $200. I assumed that they reversed the late fee (which was their fault, to begin with). That's not what they did but remember that part. I paid the amount due for October. November came around and I paid an extra amount that month so that I would have to pay less in December. Nope. I get my bill for December and it's nearly $200 more than what I owe. Remember that "credit" on my account? Apparently, that credit was from "utility charges". Somehow I got a credit from "utility charges?" It doesn't make a ton of sense. Also, they double-charged me on many of my amenity fees. A staffer went through and removed the double charges, and my rent was still higher than it normally should be. Their poor communication on the issues and their constant problems with their payment system make it extremely difficult to track your personal finances. It's all over the place. I highly recommend against moving here. This has been the poorest rental experience I've had. I've had discussions with my neighbors and they all agree. June 15, 2022The community is nice, we enjoy living here. Just a few issues: Some neighbors do not pick up after their dogs, therefore there is always an aroma of dog feces outside. I see Eddie making an effort to pick it up, but owners should be more respectful. Also, the trash bins always seem to be an issue getting overfilled, or people dumping large items sometimes unbroken down boxes, and also the recycling bin is too small. Parking is again a problem, no spaces close to the apartment if you get home a ...little late. We put our names on the garage and carport list last July when we moved in, but even with multiple neighbors moving out that gave up their spots, we were told we were still 10th on the list, and it seems we have no hope of getting a carport or garage even though there seems to be plenty of unfilled carports. I still would recommend the community based on the overall quality of staff, living space, and maintenance team, however the parking, trash, and dog poop are definitely something I know other people may not tolerate as well.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
