Management needs to be fired
September 10, 2024This place is worst place I have ever lived. We actually broke our lease early because we couldn’t take it anymore. Maintenance requests don’t get completed, management never answers the phone or gives false promises. There is dog poop everywhere. The renovated apartments look like they were painted by a drunk 2 year old. This place is tuning into a slumlord place to live.Review from Apartments.com
Don’t do it!
August 4, 2021We reported water damage during an inspection in May and they didn’t address it until the middle of July… turns out it was a construction error. The team was awful at communicating with each other and especially us (would tell us something would be done and wouldn’t be done until we called sometimes multiple times). Offered us movers in consolation for the bad service and the more than 3 weeks we were out of our apartment because of the damage and then took it back when we tried to confirm. Save ...yourself time, effort, and energy by going somewhere else.Property Manager Responded

DO NOT MOVE HERE!
March 7, 2019When we first moved in it was good, the place stayed clean. As time went by the maintenance slacked on cleaning. The construction crew would leave their trash laying around. The maintenance also flooded my apartment 3 times and all the office said is we can come clean it tomorrow!! REALLY!! Like I'm going to leave water on my floors till the next day!! But what really makes me not recommend this place is that you have to pay your rent on time (which I always did) or else you get late charges. ...BUT when they owe you money like the return of your deposit or a charge at the end of your lease for something you didn't have (we were charged a carpet cleaning charge and didn't even have carpet!!) they take their sweet time! I've waited for 3 months for a reimbursement that has yet to make it to my mailbox! They make all kinds of excuses and blame others in the office!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Harpers Retreat/Allied Orion are NOT the place to be!! I hope the residents that live here now are more fortunate that we are on getting their deposits back!Property Manager Responded

Simply put, this place is great!
April 10, 2018I’ve lived here a couple months so far and have really enjoyed it. The management staff is nice and helpful, and my apartment feels like home. Plus, the property is constantly hosting resident events like bingo and food trucks which has been a life saver more than once after a long day.Review from Apartments.com

February 19, 2017Moving is stressful. I looked at The Mansions and The Retreat at Woodland apartments but it wasn't until the young brunette at The Retreat at Woodland, who referred me to go see Mr. Chris down the road at Harper's Retreat, that I came to the realization Harper's wasn't just going to be another place with apartments i lived at. I knew at that moment when I met Chris that I was going to make this my home. So, I did and I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with my decision moving forward. ...Also it was new and fresh. I don't want to live somewhere I wasn't the first person living there. I would think that more people think like me on that. Hopefully everyone else looking for their new home is as lucky as I was, so do yourself a favor and go by the Harper's Retreat and talk to Chris.
