cockroach infested- beware
September 14, 2020
Since day 1 of moving into Hathaway Lofts we have been experiencing a roach infestation. For the first month we were accused of bringing them. Its 90 days in and several sessions of spraying and we are still experiencing them. The property manager assures that the issue is not widespread and offered to move us to another unit. In that unit it was dirty old food in the refrigerator, unsealed cracks and we found that there was a stain in the ceiling and when we reported that water damage they ...
simply painted over it. The day is rained we checked again and the ceiling was so moist we could push our finger into it. We are stuck the situation improved for a couple of days and then there was a flood on the other side of the building and suddenly we had lots of cockroaches coming out of the drain. We are a family of four sleeping in a single room because when our children were sleeping in their room we found cockroaches crawling on them. On a separate occasion I woke up to a large cockroach crawling on me in my shirt. This place is a nightmare. They do not turnover the units properly—no water or pest damage inspection. You are lucky is your unit is fully clean.
