About Hawk Lake Apartments & Townhomes

Situated on a 17 acre private lake, Hawk Lake Apartments and Townhomes offers you a quiet and peaceful area to call home. Nestled in the Proud Lake Recreational area, our lake area is able to be accessed by all tenants for fishing, short hiking through established wetland trails and even canoeing. In the spring and summer, the lake shore allows families the ability to experience many outdoor recreational activities without having to drive anywhere. There are picnic tables and grills set up for tenant use and are easily accessable from anywhere in the complex. You may even keep your non-motorized boats at our shore area. We have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, and 2 bedroom townhouses. With an average residency rate of 5 1/2 years, our residents represent families with children, seniors, singles and roommates. It is a quiet community run by a private company with managers and maintenance that live on-site. While the complex has a quiet, out-of-the-way feel to it, we are still able to boast easy access to all local freeways. We are part of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District and are within one mile of both area high schools and two elementary schools. Just a few miles from the Novi Shopping area, you will have quick and easy access to a multitude of stores and restaurants. Available for those that are unable to travel on their own is the Walled Lake Community Transit. This offers a "shopping loop" at least four times a week to WalMart, Kroger, Meijer and others. You will also be able to utilize the service to get to appointments at select hospitals and medical centers. Included in these are the Wixom Senior Center, Huron Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Providence Hospital, Henry Ford Hospital and Twelve Oaks Mall. This service is free within the city of Walled Lake and is a nominal cost for select areas outside of the city.

Been living here a few months and have noticed it is very quiet in my building. The neighbors are friendly and most keep to themselves. Very spacious and perfect for a first time renter. Very kid friendly and perfect for the summer with lake access.

As long time residents of Hawk Lake Apartments, we have seen many improvements and upgrades over the years of the apartment buildings, apartments themselves and the grounds. The maintenance crew is great about getting work orders done within the first twenty-four hours. We have also seen many good residency rules applied, keeping this a safe, clean, home environment without having excessive rental costs!

We've been living here 4 months now and I hate myself for going through with it. I would have rather stayed in an abusive relationship that moved in here had I known what I know now. It is filthy. Any complaint I have about things not working gets addressed by the maintenance staff saying, "I don't see a problem here, I got it to work." Never mind, I have a bad arm and don't have the strength to yank open a window. Never mind that I want my kids to be able to take baths or showers by ...
themselves without needing me to turn the water on. Never mind the fact that we don't smoke but people think I do because I always smell like it. The owner shows up daily in his nice shiny car but could not care less about the state of affairs that he has his tenants living in.

Hawk Lake apartments some may find nice place, but its not worth living here. The owner does very little upkeep the building in proper code. The management is difficult to get ahold of incase of an emergency. The neighbours range from teenagers to retired folk. Some buildings, include free heat, other building have working buzzers access entry, some don't. If your looking for new, home, this may not be the place for you.
