Leasing office disaster
August 24, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI applied here and was approved for an apartment two months out from my move date. I called the leasing office four days before my move in date as i moved from San Jose California to St. Louis Missouri and was assured my apartment would be ready. This is 30 hour 3-4 day drive. On my move in date the leasing agent Nae screened my phone calls, 15 unanswered called and 5 messages with no answer or call back. At office close on my move in date I get an automated text saying my unit won’t be ready ...until the 25th so I booked a hotel right next to the apartment. I called 15 more times and the agent dodged me. The next morning I get a text that my move in date was suspended indefinitely. So I drove past the complex and the building I’m supposed to move into is torn up, under construction and 6 months to a year from being able to be occupied. This place is farming information and taking apps/security deposit but there aren’t any units available. Even if you move in here the staff is astoundingly rude and incompetent, good luck with a maintenance call.Read More

April 12, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comNot that I am trying to bash on this Complex but today I seen the true colors of this facility. The old management was the reason I stayed so long. Not any more. In the past 3 years maintenance has been called 20 of more times and the job were done partially. We had the leaks by the sliding glass door repaired they made us clean the mess they made and it still leaked. Probably they will charge us for it when we move out. The garbage grinder has been leaking for 2 years and when we call they just ...send people to see if it jammed. We had a full flood in the apartment and the carpet was partially ripped up and they are not opposed to repairing.The new management is very RUDE and never call you back. The place is quiet for the most part.The water pressure is horrible and if anyone in the whole building uses the water you will freeze or get burned. Speaking to Corporate is pointless they don't make decision for the tenant they are after the $$$$.Read More

August 17, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comHazelwood Forest is by far one of the worst apartment communities in North County. The apartments are out dated: the water in the shower takes up to 5 mins to get hot (and once you're in there it may get extremely hot or freezing cold depending on who else in the building is using water). Water pressure is non-existent, shower sprays like a sprinkler. There is mold presence, you can smell it and see it in the vents. The management is very non-chalant about getting repairs done, and speaking ...to Nancy in corporate is pointless. RENTER BEWARE!!Read More

June 10, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comNot the new fancy apartment with all of the benefits in the clubhouse. However this is the best i could find in the area for the price without the ratchetness. Its quiet and some of the units have washer/dryer hookups. You dont have to worry about a gas bill here but that's because the water heater is shared so instead of remodeling they foot the bill. Ive been here for 3 to 4 years and im not moving until i buy. As for the business relations they are the fairest that i ran into, they dont ...increase rent as much as the others and u can pay your rent online. I never had a big problem getting anything fixed. Not luxurious but nice with all that u need to call an apartment home. I would recommend this place because of the quietness and the class of the community. Hope this helps.Read More

June 21, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comQuiet area and the location is the best part. The new management is rude and take forever to call back. Maintenance is super delayed, forced me to keep a broken dishwasher for 2 yrs until a month before I moved, then they finally replaced it. They tired to charge me for things after I moved that simply was never fixed when I requested them to be and the pool was always full of leaves, pollen and bugs. Overall not a horrible place to live but I also wouldn't recommend it.
