FIRE EMERGENCY IN MY APARTMENT — TENANT WARNING
January 28, 2026FIRE EMERGENCY IN MY APARTMENT — TENANT WARNING Last week, I had to call 911 because my apartment filled with smoke from burned wiring in the A/C/heating unit. Firefighters responded and shut off my breakers, showing me a burned fuse and wiring damage that had spread. From my perspective, it was a serious fire hazard. I called emergency maintenance and left a voicemail. When they called back, they seemed completely uninterested and said, “If the firemen are there, they can handle it. I’m not on ...property, so there’s nothing I can do.” They refused to speak with the firefighters. The firefighters told me I was extremely lucky to be home — otherwise, the burns could have spread and caused major damage to my belongings and nearby units. They said this was old/faulty wiring, not user error. I was told repairs would take several days — just before the biggest winter storm Nashville has seen in decades. I had to leave my windows open and find another place to stay. I have not slept in my apartment for over a week, and the cost of alternative housing is adding up. I left multiple voicemails asking to meet management before anyone entered my apartment so I could explain what happened. No one returned my calls. Later, I was told maintenance had already entered my unit and “fixed it” — in less than 10 minutes. I requested a licensed electrician to inspect the unit. That request was denied. When I asked for maintenance credentials, the answer was, “He’s worked here three years.” I asked to schedule a meeting with the apartment manager, but they refused and told me to just show up and wait. I STILL HAVE NOT MET WITH MANAGEMENT IN PERSON. Two days later, I removed the A/C panel myself to check. Inside was dirtier than before, full of lint, screws, trash, and all the same burned and melted wiring and padding. There is still a burn hole in the panel and insulation. The only thing replaced was a small fuse. When I called the office to explain, they were upset I looked inside and confirmed that no one from management had even seen the damage. Later, maintenance came again without my knowledge and simply screwed the panel shut — adding extra screws to cover everything up. I am moving out in the middle of a winter storm. I asked for my lease to be canceled and fees waived due to unsafe conditions — they refused. This is my home — my place of safety. But to them, it’s just a business. They just want their money. They have shown zero concern for tenant well-being.Property Manager Responded

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
July 9, 2025Living in this complex has been one of the worst housing experiences I’ve ever had. The management is completely unresponsive and neglectful. For over a year, I submitted repeated requests about a broken dishwasher, their maintenance team would show up, poke around, and tell me “it’s fine” every single time. It never got fixed. They clearly have no intention of maintaining anything properly. The office communication is nonexistent or useless!! If you’re considering a ground-floor unit DON’T. ...There is a major ant infestation problem throughout the entire first floor. It’s not a one-time issue, ants literally invade your home constantly. Everyone I spoke to on the first level is dealing with it, and the management does nothing to address the root cause. The air ducts in the unit were never cleaned, and I ended up having to pay out of pocket just to get them professionally serviced because the dust and allergens were unbearable. And just when you think it couldn’t get worse try moving out. They will try to overcharge you with insane fees, made-up damages, and cleaning charges, even if you leave the place spotless. It’s like they punish you for deciding to leave their rundown property. Save yourself the headache, the money, and the stress. Stay far away from this place.Property Manager Responded

January 9, 2025I left a google review when I first moved here. I’ve now been here over a year & I still love it. All the amenities are so nice, I love being able to go out on the lake without having to actually load up the kayak and leave. Maintenance is always quick to respond and Mark is fantastic. All of the office staff has been consistent and amazing (consistent except for the promotions and who could hate on that!?!?) basically, I’m saying you won’t regret moving here. Nightmare Waiting To End!
September 4, 20244 years ago I had an amazing experience moving in building 8. I wanted to upgrade to a two bedroom and was directed to building 3. Things were a bit rushed as I scheduled to transfer but I trusted things would be in order due to me having little to no issues during my stay. The patio door seal was chewed (they replaced it after move in). The carpet really should have been changed ( I deep cleaned it myself) as you can tell there was a pet living in the unit prior. Approximately 3-4 months in, I ...noticed roach activity. I reached out and they called pest control to come spray. The technician literally came in moved the fridge and stove and lightly sprayed plus cracked jokes the 3 minutes he was there. I noticed more, they called, he sprayed. I noticed more, they called, he sprayed. I was told not to wash my clothes, cook any food or contribute to making the unit a Roach friendly environment by the leasing office. If I can't cook or wash clothes and live the normal life of any other rent-paying tenant, then why stay. Finally, I left and moved in with my mother. That was in March, it's September and I went to check on the place and sure enough they are still THERE ALIVE AND WELL!! My lease is up at the end of December. I have paid rent on time and out of 12 months lived there 3-4. The leasing office continues to be of no help as if spraying will solve a roach infestation. I've had to pay additional cost for clothing and other items as I do not want to transport my belongings to my Mom's for fear of transporting them there. Keep going, do not pursue Heron Pointe!!!Property Manager Responded

Terrible Management - This Place is Falling Apart Under Current Leadership
September 4, 2024Living here has become unbearable, and it’s all because of the poor management. The complex manager is doing a terrible job at running this place. Since they took over, things have only gone downhill. There’s a complete lack of organization, communication, and respect for the residents. The manager doesn’t seem to care about the community at all. They’re unresponsive to concerns, and when they do get involved, it’s usually just to impose unnecessary fines or make life more difficult for ...tenants. The overall atmosphere in the complex has become tense and uncomfortable because of the way management handles things. This used to be a decent place to live, but under the current management, it’s been a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend anyone move here as long as the current manager is in charge.Property Manager Responded

Worst place to live.
January 19, 2024We have been here 2 years our dishwasher has never worked, maintenance is a joke you ask for something and they claim you can do it yourself. Our car has gotten broken into and recently our apartment was broken into. The office does not care we send emails after emails and nothing. Stay Away
October 23, 2023DO NOT RENT HERE! The management of this apartment complex..horrible. They do not care about anything, honestly. You have a maintenance request..forget about it. Maintenance crew has no idea what they are doing or how to fix anything. They drag their feet with the repairs. They will not call you back at all. They also cannot keep staff. Every time you turn around, there is a new face in the office and person you saw the last time you was there "no longer works there". The only nice thing about ...living at this complex is the lay out of the apartments. That is it. They just want your money, you sign a lease and after that they do not care about anything else. Don't waste your hard earned money renting here. Thin Walls, you can hear everything in the other apartments, the gate at the front entrance hardly ever works. They are constantly emailing the tenants about things they expect from us but they do not uphold their end AT ALL regarding anything. They expect the tenants to help keep the property looking nice on the outside but they do not care about the problems we have on the inside of our units. These apartments are not that old but they are raggedy. Rush job at building them. They are adding more units on the other side of the office and I am not sure how that is going to work when they do not have the staff to run the current buildings that they currently have now. Look elsewhere. This is not where you want to live. If I could give it 0 stars I would.Property Manager Responded
