Low End
September 4, 2020Finally paroled from this place. No Hot Water in the laundry room to cheat you out money. Gross common areas and mail areas, they never clean, management companies that treat you like garbage instead of a customer. You get what you pay for....and less apparently
October 5, 2018I looked at this location a month ago and another simmilar couple in the area.....while the apartments are updated they really cut corners on the upgrades, just look closely and you'll see, the unit i looked at had the flooring adhesive bubbling up everywhere between the seams. The onsite "manager" was nice enough, but she said they require residents who park in the lot to move their cars out during snowstorms for plowing, which is absurd if you happen to commute to work and cannot move it, ...and also seems like a liability to have people driving around aimlessly in bad weather (i understand they want to clean the lot for after the snow, but how do you have the nerve to force the elderly or anyone driving around in a snowstorm for 1/2 hour while they plow), but that's only one of the reasons i would not have taken the place. The stairs are loud walking up and down in the common areas, and the floors of the apartment i saw was so uneven i almost tripped, heard loud train horns twice in the 15 minutes i spent looking the apartment and property over. Spoke to a resident outside after my tour and he says the onsite "manager" seems to have her own agenda that "borders on strange"....not sure what that's about, like i said she seemed nice...i found wonderful garden apartments in the area that costs less but is clearly a better choice for me and larger, but just like buying a house, buyer beware.Property Manager Responded

We would appreciate it you emailed us at Info@RidgetopCorp.com to inform us what apartment you viewed with flooring adhesive coming through the "seams" as many of the apartments at Hickory Manor have original hardwood floors. Additionally, because our apartments are in such high demand, vacant apartments may be shown to a prospective tenant while the unit is still under renovation; therefore the prospective tenant is viewing the unit in a state of construction, rather than as the finished product we deliver before a tenant moves in. We take great pride in the detail, care and expense we put in to each apartment and if that hard work is not being properly presented, we wish to remedy it immediately. However, without knowing your name or what unit you viewed, we are unable to address the specifics of your review. Additionally, tenants are not required to move their vehicle during an active snow storm. In order to completely clear parking lots of snow and ice, ...we do require tenants to move their vehicles the day after a snow storm for our our snow plowing contractor to clean the entire lot, including between parking spaces, which the contractor is unable to clear while vehicles are parked in the lot during the storm. Tenants who are not home to move their vehicles after a snow storm must make arrangements with Management to have their vehicle moved to a different spot in order for the lot to be cleared.

Attention to detail
May 28, 2018The listings and photos are almost always not in synch for this company. We checked out a few of their properties, not only are the sq footages never close, the photos are often not corresponding to the ads.Property Manager Responded

Our renovation aesthetics have changed in recent years and not all varieties of cabinet, counter top, tile, flooring materials/colors have been photographed to post on our ads. Despite our best efforts to get all available apartments photographed, the apartments are in very high demand and there is often no time between the apartment being ready and a new tenant moving in to get it photographed. We encourage all prospective tenants to visit our apartments in person and make sure the apartment meets all your needs before applying. Additionally, if you could email us at Info@RidgetopCorp.com to let us know which apartment it is that you viewed, we will check that the posted square footage matches with our architectural drawings.
