Everything is broken - forever
January 5, 2018I have lived here for close to 6 months and it started off well. Not to long after I was living their they changed management that care nothing about the tenants or the condition of your home. I had spoke with the owner of the management company one day about possibly getting screens for the windows of my apartment so I could open the windows instead of having the AC on at all time. He talked about other stuff and would not address my concern so I get to waste my electricity on the AC instead of ...the apartments having screens on their windows. Just last night my heat went out while it was around 32 degrees outside. I called the emergency maintenance line that said someone would contact me promptly. This never happened. I called the number back 4 more times over the next two hours and no return call. They also refuse to put any trashcans near apartments at the front, back, or eastside. You will have to walk to the other side of the complex no matter the temp where there are 4 trash cans sitting in one area. If you enjoy a place that does not care if you and your children freeze all night then this is your place. If you want a place where the management is not concerned with the fact that human beings live in their units then you should check this place out. Don't let them sell you on the pool either because they can usually only open it about two weeks during the summer cause it will break down and not be fixed.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Worst apartment complex ever
August 7, 2017We have lived in highland oaks for more than a year. There was a water main break in our apartment so they moved us into another apartment. The next day my son woke up with bites all over. Turns out this new apartment they moved us to has bed bugs and now they refuse to take care of the bugs. My son had no bites until they moved us into a new apartment but some how it's our responsibility to take care of the bugs when we didn't have them in previous apartment.Review from Apartments.com
