Beautiful apartments, property and amazing manager!

This property is beautiful with awesome amenities and managements. Property has well manicured landscaping and a responsive maintenance team that get your issues repaired quickly. The community manager, Daniela, is amazing and very knowledgeable, professional and helpful in working with my needs. The community has fun events every month to enjoy and is conveniently located next to several shopping centers.

This apartment complex is in a great location, but comes with some serious flaws. In my experience, the management significantly raised rent prices when our lease was up. Also, be ready to expect excessive fees for having pets! Plan on a few hundred dollars for a deposit, pet rent every month, and being charged for cleaning fees when you move out. There are too many issues with parking (after about 8pm) and several community rules/guidelines that must be adhered to. I would NOT recommend living ...
here if you are moving to the Ocala area. There are other apartments in this city that are easier on the wallet and just as nice.

When I was getting ready to move to Ocala from the Orlando area, Highlands was on my list. It was my favorite of all the ones I had seen on-line, but also the furthest from my job. When I went to Ocala to finally look at the ones I chose on line, Highlands was the 2nd one I looked at - and the last. I wasn't even completely in the front door of the 2/2 and I knew I had found my new home. The closet space was mind-blowing. I know homes that don't have that much closet space. Kathy, Sherri ...
and Linda made things so easy to move. The maintenance staff was always awesome. They left notes stating what had been done and always cleaned up after themselves. As a single woman, I felt safe there. It was quiet and well lit. I was sad when I had to return to Orlando to care for a sick family member. If I ever make it back to the Ocala area, I will not hesitate to rent at Highlands. It will be my first stop.

There is nothing like the comfort of home. Coming home to a Beautiful environment makes all the difference at the end of the day. At the Highlands at Heathbrook you have the Best of everything. Wonderful location, a Beautiful apartment with maintenance that is unsurpassed. They are there when you need them 24 hours a day. A gated community at night when you want to feel safe the most. Very large, clean and well kept apartments. The grounds are beautiful with a lake, tennis courts, free tanning bed and playground. The over sized pool has a beautiful waterfall and plenty of sunbathing areas. The office staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. Wouldn't live anywhere else in Ocala!

The square footage of the 3 bedroom unit is substantially smaller than the published size. Maintenance is also difficult to deal with unless you are willing to allow entry while no one is at home. You can request an "appointment" for a particular date but may not specify times and are not guaranteed they will show up. Appliances are older and not energy efficient.

I viewed these apartments on line and I must say they are the only ones that live up to their web site. I moved in at the end of October and couldn't be happier. The apartments are very nice. Quiet complex, friendly people.
