Nightmares happens here !
February 24, 2025This is one of the most horribly run places to live in the greater Tucson area ..I rank this place in the top ten of the worst..the staff is rude..dirty pools, laundry room, dog waste ,frequent electricity outages..water shut off..telephones are seldom answered..broken gate will smash your car..theives will break into your car...poorly lit grounds...over watering of grass during daytime hours..hidden fees within your lease..you name it , this place has all the bad stuff and few of the good things ...to brag about...Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nice Complex, Bad Experience
June 17, 2024We moved in here only three weeks ago. While the draw of this complex is things like its amenities and neighborhood, the units themselves and office staff are much less than impressive. To start, upon moving in we had a defective microwave, many loose or useless electrical outlets, one of the false drawers in the bathroom had fully fallen off of the cabinets, and there was a dent in one wall and a rip in the vinyl flooring. Basically the only way to contact the office during the day is by ...walking into the office physically. The phone number to the complex will direct you to a third party service that is not answered by the office staff, and requests to take a message or emails sent out seem to hardly ever get a response—if not a very slow one. Concerningly, after only a few weeks of living here we were falsely targeted by the management office for marijuana smoking, but have never smoked marijuana or anything here. The office staff refused to elaborate on why we were targeted or to admit that they were wrong. That is a false accusation. The main pool area is nice but the water is always full of trash and bugs, and you have to bring your own tank of propane if you want to use the grill. The second pool area is run down and lacks anything besides black wireframe pool chairs that burn in the summer. Also, this is the largest apartment lot in Tucson so be prepared to need to drive across the complex if you want to get your mail and do not want to walk a quarter mile on various inclines to get there.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Actually wonderful
September 8, 2023After touring a bunch of places in the Tucson area I wasn’t optimistic about my apartment situation. This was one of the only apartments that were affordable and didn’t have a ton of bad reviews. Boy did I get l lucky. The staff are literally amazing… like the best, and the apartment is exactly what I was looking for. One time my AC wasn’t working properly and after letting them know it was fixed the very next day. Any issues I’ve had have been quickly resolved I’ve just had an amazing ...experience overall. The people here are really amazing and I love that they host fun events each month where you can hang out, eat, chill and meet other tenets.Property Manager Responded

It meets my needs
January 3, 2021I moved to AZ to begin a medical career, 2000 miles away without knowing a person here. And, I signed a lease here before even seeing the place. Which, of course, is never recommended. However, I lucked out. As a young male who is making a sustainable income, this is a fine place. This apartment size is exactly what I want, I have my own washer and dryer, the pools are nice, the parking system is good, and it’s safe. I haven’t had issues with pests. All neighbors I’ve had have been respectful. ...The not so amazing parts of the apartments are the appliances are very outdated, the lack of signs/maps made deliveries difficult at first, the maintenance still have not fixed my dishwasher to which I just was dishes by hand now, and some pet owners of aggressive dogs do not always recognize that their dogs aren’t very enjoyable to be around. Overall I’d recommend this place to a similar demographic as myself.Property Manager Responded

Great Dog Friendly Apartments!
August 27, 2019I've been a resident here for a few months now, and can already say I'll definitely be resigning. It was so hard to find a reasonably priced apartment in Tucson that allows dogs over 25 lbs! There's a great dog park in the back and plenty of grassy areas for my pups to run around. The application process was seamless thanks to Ryan K, he expertly answered any questions I had and was so responsive via phone and email. There are a few apartment floor plans to choose from and Ryan helped me find the ...perfect one based on my needs and my price range. He even checked in after my move in date to see how everything went and if there were any issues. Excellent customer service! So far there have been no major issues-- I've only had to call maintenance once, and they came and fixed the issue the next day. August 9, 2019This was the first place I really got to call my home. And man did it feel like it! The office staff is quick and so good at going above and beyond to help as much as possible. best apartment complex ever

It's a nice community
September 13, 2015The apartments are basically just like an upscale motel or a huge closet in a nice part of town. All of the equipment and appliances are doing and out dated and when you have the fan on it is hard to hear anything in the apartment because it is so loud and the apartment is so small. If you live on the bottom floor you can hear the floor creak from the apartments above when people are walking. The pool and tennis court area is nice and presentable although every time I use the pool I find d bugs ...floating around the surface all over the pool and there is not one clear bug free area as far as I can see. Over all the area is presentable and looks nice and cheap but up close not 5 star quality. It is a good place to live if you are on a tight budget and/or are a college student and there is easy access to the river road shopping center with a grocery store and a Walgreens among other stores.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Hilands at River & Craycroft
August 5, 2015I began at The Hilands started the 1st week of August 2014 at will continue at least through this 2nd week of August 2015, if not longer. Management was careful in calculating the most monthly rental savings option for my needs. The maintenance team is courteous & patient with me and my pet. My one complaint is work requests often need to be done repeatedly for management to pass it on to maintance team. Great location
August 9, 2015The Hilands Apartments are In a great location, with easy access to anywhere in Tucson. Also a short walk away from the river walk and a short drive from the beautiful Sabino canyon. The apartment itself is outdated and mine personally still smells like the last tenants, the carpet is old and disgusting! I was shocked when my lease renewal came up to find out that my rent was going up nearly $30! My central A/C unit is located inside the ceiling in my walk in closet and has been slowly dripping ...onto my carpet all summer long. Maintenance is very prompt and polite. An exterminator fee of $1 is added to my rent every month, which allows me access to extermination every Friday upon request. The covered parking is not assigned, and there is a lot of it. The location is safe and quiet, very peaceful with beautiful pools and a gorgeous view of the Catalina Mountains.
