HORRIBLE
June 29, 2024Bad Bad Bad place the most rude workers, dirtiest amenities, the apartments are outdated and also tend to be quite neglected when you first move in. The pool closes whenever the workers feel like closing it. They say they don’t want to come back to close it at its assigned closing time so they close it whenever they want to. There is dog poop everywhere it’s impossible to avoid stepping on. Don’t get fooled by the poop bags everywhere nobody uses them and they just leave there dogs poop ...everywhere. January 18, 2024I'm giving Hilliard Summit 1 star because the utility for this place is beyond ridiculous. They management don't want to do anything about it. We are facing a recession and people can't barely afford things. The cost of utility here at Hilliard Summit will range you between $600-$1,000+ monthly. I will NOT recommend anyone to move here. Renting the washer and dryer from an outside source, and the flat unwashable wall paint are the only things I do not like about living here. Thanks but no thanks
November 5, 2021Rent increases around $80 dollars annually including new fees added on randomly such as a “$50 community fee” and forced upon valet trash service for $42 even if you don’t want valet. Little to no response from leasing office when trying contact them. Neighbors are noisy outside and inside. Police seen almost daily at an apartment or another. Management Feels They Are More Important Than Residents
June 16, 2021I'm giving Hilliard Summit Apartments this poor review because I sincerely believe that they, because of recent management, don't deserve any new residents until things change. Today is June 16th. We have had 16 days of mostly hot and humid weather and yet our property manager will not keep the pool open after 6 PM. Even on the weekends. Because she doesn't want to come back at 9 PM and lock up the pool. Her time is more important than the residents enjoying Hilliard Summit's best amenity. Last ...Summer when they opened the pool, which at times has been a wreck (See attached photos), they closed it every night at 6 PM "because of COVID" when most people get home from work. Without a Health Department mandate. But that saved them staffing hours $$$ or inconvenience for management. I complained about the pool. Management said that I was lucky the pool was even open. At Hilliard Summit Apartments you are not a customer. You are a profit center. And any request that may affect the profit center is vehemently denied. And, they continually add to that profit center. In January we received a notice that we'll be charged a one-time per lease $50 community fee to "maintain and improve our community and amenities". I thought that was why I pay rent. After that, we received a kitchen size waste basket to set on the porch and stack our huge trash bags on for free pickup. Free pickup until you renew your lease, then it's $30 a month. Plus now, almost every day, you live in a neighborhood with piled trash bags on most porches. Recently they installed basket covers over the outside vent for each apartment to keep birds out. They installed them and trapped birds inside. Generally, each year your rent increases. This year ours was $720/year. Their "stick it to you" attitude was clearly on display when I asked to have my 6-year-old carpet replaced. They said fine. But not until I sign a new lease. AND MY APARTMENT HAS TO BE COMPLETELY EMPTY. Most recently, their rent auto-pay malfunctioned and I was charged a $150 late fee. I tried to fight it. But that would have affected my profit center. So I had to pay. The photos I've included with this review pretty much tell how much the management over the years have cared about this "community". Welcome to the bottom of the barrel
January 22, 2021The apartments may seem nice at first glance, but that is far from the truth. Upon moving in you will notice that there are multiple blemishes on walls and doors, as there is no maintenance team here. The complex does not fix anything they provide in their apartments, including but not limited to windows, washers, dryers and dishwashers. You are also charged a monthly pest control fee, but again, any pest control issues you have in your apartment will have to be taken care of by you on your ...own time with your own money. Walls and windows are not insulated, and it does not appear that apartments are cleaned in between move ins. The office staff is unresponsive at best, and while their hours say 9-6pm, the staff is presence in the office from about 3pm to 430. If you are to interact with them, they lie frequently and will tell you whatever it is that you want to hear. Every lease has a clause expressly saying that the office staff is not obligated to follow through on any actions promised by their staff, which allows them to get away with this unethical behavior. Empty apartments (such as the one next to me) are left unlocked with the door open 24/7, and people/wildlife are free to roam in and out of the vacant apartments. Towing is not enforced, despite all of the signs in the parking area. The "towing company" on the signs does not tow cars without passes that are parked in pass only spots. The complex also charges "community fees" at random intervals and prices throughout the year.
