My experience living at Honeywood Apartments
March 2, 2020While living at Honeywood we were greeted very kindly and shown a nice one bedroom apartment and lived there for about 2 years. However, the problem came in the lease itself. They charge various "fees" that do not seem to have any reason behind them other than to nickel and dime their residents. The biggest one being their 300$ pet fee. Most apartments charge a non refundable pet deposit so that it will be used to renovate your apartment should you ever move out to pay for pet damages. ...However, Honeywood charges this as a "Fee" which means that it is a 300$ charge for your pet to be allowed in the apartment and you must pay monthly rent for that pet as well. This means that all of the money you give them is for the privilege of your animal to be there and when you move they will hit you with a massive charge to renovate your vacant apartment and none of the money you have provided will be used towards that. I am giving them a 2 star review and not a 1 star because the maintenance, grounds works, and lifeguards I interacted with were extremely nice and helpful. However, the main office and leasing group seem to lack integrity & forthrightness about the cost of living in Honeywood Apartments.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Crazy Noisy Apartment Experience
March 26, 2019Nice grounds. and super convenient but you really need to know going in that these buildings are old, not very well built, and can be RIDICULOUSLY noisey. You will hear doors slamming shut when the doors themselves are not being forcibly closed. If the unit above you is inhabited by heavy people or heavy walkers, you will hear thudding, creaking, cracking, popping, squeaking noises and more. If a dog is crying, or barking, you'll know about it. The staff are decent and they are clearly aware of ...the noise problems, but are slow to act on it because there is in fact little they can do about it. This is also a relatively expensive place to live, primarily because of location. The pool is nice, the grounds are nice too, but I can't recommend Honeywood because of the noise issues. Honeywood Home Apartments
August 27, 2015I have had the opportunity to reside at this apartment complex for over two years now and it has been an amazing experience. The community has a great staffing of proactive engaging individuals who are passionate not only of their jobs, but empathic to the needs of its residence. If there are maintenance issues the staff are immediate about getting it done. The whole visible environment and landscaping is excellent, and the atmosphere living around professional people makes my stay unique and ...worth signing a contract for another year.
