        I've been a resident of Hubbard Place for about six years and have lived in three different styles. This option is one of HP's advantages. Have a baby? Get a dog? Level up without moving from this excellent property. One of my favorite features, not often found in city properities, is our plaza with trees, shrubbery and fountains. A lovely spot to people watch and welcome neighbors home.

        Apartment building has gone downhill since being sold to a new owner. Front desk, maintenance, and package staff are all still great, but the building has constant issues with broken elevators, zero amenities, constant flooding and construction, etc. Management never communicated about timelines for anything to get fixed either. Our amenity floor flooded about a month ago and we've gotten nothing other than "we're working on it."

        Hubbard Place is it just not the same. Residents are angry. Someone who I was with in the elevator, complained about elevator one being down and said, and watch they will raise our rents really high. When I moved into this building, people were really happy to be here. I see the opposite now. It’s almost an embarrassment.

        I've been a resident of Hubbard Place for the last six years. Originally, it was the building's proximity to the East Bank Club that was the draw. But now, after living in a variety of floorplans, appreciating the outstanding maintenance team, door staff, and package room attendants, I realize I am blessed. My dog Doris feels the same.

      • Favorite Place to Live in Chicago

        I spent 16 years in Chicago with the last 2.5 years at Hubbard Place. Over that time, I lived in approximately ~10 high rises, and I can say that Hubbard Place was unequivocally my favorite. Without exception, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are top notch, and the community parties are by far the most fun/elaborate of any building I've been to, including apartments I didn't live in myself. My only very minor complaint is that the elevators tend to be very slow. ...
        However, with its location near the north branch of the Chicago river, the westward views are fairly unimpeded, so you can have beautiful expansive views without being on a high floor, which helps mitigate any concerns around the elevators and saves money on rent. Overall, I'd say any apartment search in downtown Chicago should include consideration for Hubbard Place.

        Overall good experience. Maintenance responds very quickly and is extremely friendly. The location is amazing. Right downtown, lots to do in immediate walking distance, not touristy, easy to drive around + close access to highway. The apartments are nice and updated. Good appliances, haven't had any problems. Beautiful amenities. I think the property is well built, I can't usually hear anyone above or below me. SIMONE AT THE DOOR IS AMAZING!! She deserves a bonus and a raise. She is ...
