I lived at Idaho Terrace for three and a half years, from November 2016 to March 2020. It is an older building so you sacrifice a lot of modern luxuries, like a dishwasher and microwave. Also, laundry is in the basement, which can be annoying if you have a lot of laundry and the elevators are not working or reserved. I also had mice every. single. winter. which was not fun. For DC, the rent is actually quite decent. Not very close to a metro but the N buses are right there and it is walking ...
distance from American University. I would recommend it for students, especially if they are trying to avoid The Berks, but otherwise, I would say only have this as a last resort.
