February 6, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comwe moved here in September of 2025, it was our first apartment and last experience at independence green. Management is terrible with communication, maintenance NEVER SHOWS UP I’ve put in multiple requests and they will come weeks later . When we first moved our tub had a clogged issue and there was paint torn off of it . It looked disgusting to even bathe in. They will wait until the day rent is due to put your utility payment on there. Rent is overpriced for sure especially for our LITTLE one ...bedroom that’s not even half the size of a school classroom, there are random unnecessary charges that just makes the bill look overly expensive. They don’t answer the phone in the office and when they do your problem is never solved or they’ll tell you to just call back the next day. Our sink was leaking in the kitchen when we first moved like they did a rush job in our entire apartment . The dryer makes a squeaky noise that will never be fixed . I could go on and on . Saving someone the trouble cause it may look nice but it’s not all lollipops and rainbows :)Read More

January 28, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comIndependence Green is the worst apartment complex I have ever had to deal with. Maintenance time response is AWFUL! I went all of July without working air conditioning, with 3 young children living in the unit. Further, I went another 2 months from October through November without a working washer and dryer. When you put work orders in, the maintenance staff closes them without actual work or results. Very disappointing and frustrating. I've voiced my concerns with the leasing office and they ...refused to do anything to be accommodating. At the end of the my recent lease, I was charged an additional $1,000 with the leasing office noting its 60 day notice of vacating penalty (I was mere days within the 60 day window to notify) and instead of being accommodating after being a good tenant, management and the leasing office has failed to refund me my money or to respond to my reasonable requests. As soon as I was aware of the situation and saw that the money had been withdrawn from my account, I went to the leasing office and explained the misunderstanding, they tell me there is nothing that they can do and that I can send an email to them, and they would “forward it to corporate.” Present day, I have yet to receive a response from corporate and my security deposit was also withheld. Independence Green is 0/10 and I highly recommended and advise that this place is not a good place to live and the management and leasing offices are unreasonable and have continuously failed to provide fair and equitable treatment and living accommodations. I'm not one to post reviews, but I feel strongly that others read an honest review regarding Independence Green in hopes to save you the strife.Read More

You're probably at the window shopping faze looking at the great amenities the "great price" for the area and what seems to be a quiet community and brushing off the complaints due to the 3.4 star rating here which is 1-2 stars on most other websites. Here are the bullet points of what we've experienced. -Ceiling leaks cause massive amounts of water to enter the apartment. The leak was addressed but all ...they did was spackle over the already wet dry wall -Mushrooms growing through the paint. -Mold inside our A/C unit. -Sunday funday burnouts that lasted for hours with a 40+ person party in our parking lot. -We have colleagues that started leasing another unit at the same time as us. They were without heat for 2 MONTHS in the winter along with several other units in the complex -lastly after all of the fees your rent should be expected to be $200 more per month than the base rent. You will get absurd utility charges even if you don't use your apartment for a full month.Read More

I am in a single bed, single occupant. Expect more additional fees if you have a larger unit. In addition to this, my bathroom had a massive hole in the drywall hidden behind the washer/dryer at move in. It had another hole in drywall under toilet that was simply covered with tape and paint to hide its existence. Very deceptive, very poorly managed. February 22, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comI like my unit and the view, but the only contact you can have with management is when you sign your lease. Two years ago they shut off all the parking lot lights, along with the rear building light and will not respond to maintenance requests. Several of the entry door lights are out (including mine) and we've been requesting repair for three or four months. It is REALLY dark out there, can't see stairs or keys or the thugs hanging out. There is no way to contact the office - for two years now ...the phone line just goes to voice mail and voice mail is full. If you call National office, they'll tell you they'll call and get somebody on it right away. You can go to the property office, but only the sales gals are there, and they will make up any story to make you go away so they can show new customers the awesome pool. For three summers the pool has been only open a few days per season. They completely renovated the pool for last summer, it looks fantastic for the new prospects, but I guess they just don't ask why there's never anyone in it. It's locked almost all the time, I think it may have been open about ten days all last summer. A new excuse every day. "Our lifeguard quit." "We ran out of pool supplies and we won't be able to get any for a couple weeks." "The city shut us down because we don't have proper emergency phone lines." "There is a new fifty dollar key fee if you want to use the pool." (only was told that one one day). "We're waiting for an inspection from the city." To my surprise they don't do move in till 3-5pm called and emailed for 3 weeks prior to move in date n I response. I sgould have known the what a mistake I was making. So move in date find out they gave away the 1st floor they sent me too see when I started application. So move I have to wait till after 3pm also I paid all my deposit ...and application fee electronicly but move in date they said they needed a chasiers ck. Ok so I jump through their hoops. Show up to move in and may new apartment is on tje 3rd floor not the 1st and completely on the opposite side of complex. Tell them is totally unexceptible and they get pissed at me lol. So we drive allover the complex for a 1st floor and I finally accept one. Been here 1 month still don't have any working stove, dishwasher doesn't dry, and the dryer has some black mulch behind the basket and has wrecked $500 worth of my dress shorts and dress shirts. Ive emailed several times a week no response. That doesn't count all the stuff I put on my green sheet. Save yourself some head ache and find somewhere to live. My lawyer was here to document all the issues last week. I guess has to go there. Place really sucks.24 HR fitness is only during office hrs.
