As a longtime resident, James Court has generally been a very quiet community with good neighbors overall. However, it seems like there's been quite a bit of turnover this spring and noise levels have risen. A reminder about reasonable noise etiquette and community rules might be advisable as it's been a little while.

I have lived at Harrison Court for many years and it has been a consistently comfortable and reliable place to call home. The building is clean, well maintained, and any maintenance issues I have had were addressed quickly by responsive staff.
The location in the South End is a major strength, with easy access to public transportation, nearby hospitals, and neighborhood amenities. Having Zipcar and other conveniences close by makes day-to-day life easier as well. Overall, it has been a great ...

James Court is going downhill. They keep jacking up rents faster than anyone's income is growing. It doesn't matter how long you've lived here or how good a tenant you are. I've lived here almost a decade, just got my lease renewal, and the rent is almost 38% more than what I was paying just four years ago...almost $1000/month more! There are very visible signs at every entrance to our courtyard stating no dogs are allowed, yet there are dogs pooping on the lawn on a regular basis and no one can ...
be bothered to enforce the rule. The coffee machine in the lobby was recently out of service for over a month. I was told last year that a new printer would be installed in James Court so residents can print documents outside office hours (since the business center inside in the leasing office has been locked after hours for 3 years now)...still no printer! There has been a lot of turnover in the leasing office but they can't be bothered to communicate so we know who is running this place.

James Court is generally a quiet, comfortable place to live. However, community rules need to be better enforced. There is a relatively small number of residents who don't pay attention to signage around the community or the rules laid out in their leases, or even commonsense etiquette in hallways and laundry rooms.

Generally speaking, James Court is a conveniently located, quiet, peaceful community. Free coffee in the lobby is and always has been one of the nicest perks of this community. However, the "business center" was removed from James Court in order to construct the new package room. Given this, it would be nice if access to the business center in Harrison Court was expanded to 24 hours again. Additionally, pets have never been allowed in the courtyard. quite, serene space for humans only, free of pet waste. There are plenty of parks nearby that allow pets as well as the dedicated space outside the backdoor of Harrison Court. Unfortunately, there are quite a few residents who ignore this rule. It would be great if Greystar could address this issue with dog owners as well as maybe post new, more conspicuous signage than the existing signage at the two entrances from the city sidewalks.
