  • Love the convenience and community overall

    April 28, 2025
I’ve been living here at Perring for a little over 3 years and really enjoy it. It's convenient, maintenance is prompt, the office staff is friendly and helpful and not to mention the gym pool and amazon hub are included in the rent! It is apartment living and the buildings are OLD, meaning you may hear your neighbor above, below, or next to you and the floors may squeak but if that is a concern, I suggest renting a top floor apartment. I had to send a noise complaint a time or 2 but it was ...
handled in a professional timing manner. Pest control is a big concern for me, and I did see a mouse, but pest control came to my home to seal holes and leave traps and I haven't had an issue since. The community parking lots and buildings are kept clean even though the residents do not maintain it but that just comes with apartment living. Overall, I love my apartment and would refer anyone to live here.

  • Don't come here!

    June 23, 2024
I'll keep it brief, believe these reviews about the noise. You will hear everything from your upstairs and downstairs neighbors. If you report excessive noise to the office, they'll ignore you and won't respond or address the issues. They do not care about you. I work from home and am going back to school online at night. The loud partying, jumping off furniture, and slamming of the walls is really disruptive to my life. My dog is afraid of this place, I can't focus on my work, and am constantly ...
on edge. Looking to break my lease ASAP unless something changes for the better.

  • do not live here!!

    February 15, 2022
I would not recommend living here, but I am going to keep my review of this place as objective as possible to give future tenants a realistic idea of what living here will be like in case this is the best option: We moved in at the end of August to a renovated 2 bedroom apartment. The renovated kitchen was very nice and functional, with a lot of storage and counter space. The stainless steel appliances were very nice and seemed to be rather new. As for the rest of the renovations, the carpet ...
was not nearly as soft as what was shown on the tour; it felt rough and was very dirty upon move-in, so seemingly not new as advertised. The whole apartment, actually, required a thorough deep clean, and despite using an air purifier and smoke deodorizers , it constantly smelled like musty old cigarette smoke. The people that live in this complex are not very friendly; nobody says hello to one another, nor are they very considerate of noise. The buildings are very old, and we could hear every noise our upstairs neighbors made. While noise is understandable in every apartment living situation, the noise in our unit was objectively LOUD. Footsteps and wrestling rattled picture frames on the wall. Overall, this is not a friendly, peaceful community and I would not recommend this place for those who are sound-sensitive, or have newborns or sound-reactive dogs. We did not have any problems with bugs or rodents, despite living on the first floor, however if we had stayed any longer I’m sure we would have. Cracks and fissures started to form in the paint and around the baseboards/load-bearing beams (which honestly makes me question the structural integrity of these aging buildings…). The dumpster was not regularly emptied. I’m not sure if this had anything to do with the literal dumpster fire which occurred on New Years Eve, but at one point trash was not removed for nearly two weeks. The employees at the leasing office were somewhat helpful, but they could have done more. We made several noise complaints, and some employees were more helpful than others. Big shout out to Jes, the assistant property manager, for being responsive to emails. One positive aspect of living here was maintenance: they were great, and very responsive! Our AC unit broke and needed to be replaced during one of the heatwaves this past summer. Maintenance was out the same day and installed window units. We also had a clogged drain, and they responded promptly.

  • Honest truth from a resident

    June 16, 2021
Man, Kenilworth at Perring Park has really gone downhill since I moved in in 2015. I'm glad we bought a house this year because I couldn't live another lease term at this complex. The new property manager and office staff are useless. If they don't feel like responding to your messages, or if they don't like your question they just won't bother responding. I've tried contacting 3 separate times about the same thing regarding our move-out process. Whatever. Between loud, obnoxious neighbors, ...
poorly renovated (and extremely inefficient) apartments, random maintenance visits, you name it! They really threatened to fine us because our balcony "had clutter on it" while we were in the middle of packing and moving, and they knew it. This was not even a week after ignoring the emails mentioned above. Never missed a payment in 5 years but are quick to try to suck money out of you anywhere they can. I can't wait to be done with this place for good. If you guys really want to justify the prices you're charging now, some things really need to change.

  • Floorboards are squeakier than a haunted house

    January 5, 2021
Since the pandemic your neighbors spend a lot more time at home which shouldn’t really be a problem but the floorboards are so squeaky and loud you hear every move they make and I’m on the middle floor!! The worse is having neighbors that walk all night and all day with the loudest floorboards ever it’s like you can never be at peace. I honestly feel bad for the person below us because I can hear our floorboards squeak as we walk too. I hate coming home it’s just always loud and agitating every ...
minute I am home and my neighbors are home. Another thing I didn’t notice until I moved in, was there is only one outlet on the whole countertop in the kitchen. It makes it a hassle to cook because I have to move the microwave every time I need to plug something up or sit something on the counter. Maintenance do a sloppy job on anything they touch if you pay attention to the outlets and light switches or anything attached to the walls none of them line up flat with the wall it’s very sloppy work for the money we’re paying. I honestly consider breaking my lease every time my neighbors wake me up from walking on the squeaky floorboards. Don’t move here!!

If you like living with MICE then move here ! The leasing office knew it was mice here they put traps down before I moved in and the guy who help me move here LIVED IN THIS APARTMENT, so as he was giving a tour he knew this apartment on Townhill road had a mice problem , I have a baby and I’m afraid to sit my baby down on floor without worrying about the crazy mouse problem , I keep my apartment 100% cleaned since I moved here in August I caught 5 MICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I must be honest

    January 23, 2020
The units are a nice size and the cost is pretty affordable. I’ve had no trouble with maintenance and they are very responsive when placing work orders. Now to the unfortunate cons. The pests are a major issue as mice and roaches have been a big problem in my unit and I have only been here for barely 30 days. I saw my first mouse within the first 7 days of living here. Maintenance has come out on quite a few occasions and unfortunately there are mice still scurrying around in my apartment and ...
I’ve killed 4 roaches in 30days. I’m not quite sure where the problem lies but it is a major issue. I vacuum daily sometimes multiple times a day as well as keep my counter tops and dishes clean. The apartments do appear to have partial renovations but are still quite old as the flooring is extremely loud with every step you make. The partial renovations with the washer dryer and cabinets are ok but the pest problem is definitely a concern as I’m currently up at 231am on a work night typing this review. I hope the issue is resolved soon as Im losing sleep, feeling uneasy, and I’m already ready to move out unfortunately.

  • Don’t move here

    1. Leasing office is unhelpful and doesn’t advocate for residents 2. Isn’t a smoke free community, therefore no smokers are exposed to life-threatening secondhand smoke regularly 3. Lack of parking. Anyone can park here. There is no system or control. 4. Drafty. Smells from other apartments easily penetrate through the vents. Cracks between walls and baseboards. Dirty, unkept vents. We tried to replace our air filter and found packs of matches in the vents from workers or previous tenants.

  • Poor Customer Service

    October 19, 2016
I've had several interactions with the leasing office and while they were nice at first, they've quickly become problematic and nonsensical. The property itself is decent, but the leasing office has had an issue with following up for various issues I've had. They're quite passive aggressive on the phone and then peachy in person. Its very strange. I would not suggest living here.

  • Amazing Apartments , Even better staff

    October 5, 2016
I have lived at Kenilworth Perring Park for almost a year and I've maybe had maintenance come twice. They came the same day and I didn't have to call them back. The office staff is very helpful and always make sure they follow up. I haven't had any issues . I live on the first floor and love my walkout balcony. The view is great and parking. The Washer Dryer is LARGE. All in all great property!

  • This place made be buy a house. Poor customer service.

    November 24, 2015
I recently vacated my rented apartment (Kenilworth at perring park Apts) 3 months before my lease was up. I paid my rent in full per lease contract and occasionally stopped by the apartment to ensure everything was still on working and to move my belongings. On the second month I walked in and found Maintenance (who's office was immediately below my apartment) had come into the apartment without notification and curved out a huge hole in the drywall for a so called plumbing issue in their ...
office which broke the tiles in the adjacent bathroom wall. I reached out to the rent office, who initially blow me off. A week later, came to the apartment and found the entire floor littered with numerous houseflies. I obviously could not sleep in this filth and was infuriated. I called the office demanding they fix the issue as I didn't want to get stuck with the bill. Now I'm expecting a refund check from the security deposit in entirely because I spent hours cleaning after them and yes you guessed it, they stuck me with the bill, claiming $438.69 for cleaning a carpet (that I know was spotless) and an additional $1600, for so called repair recovery fee(heat treatment). I called the property manager who said the $1600 was to treat a bedbug infestation in my apartment. Keep in mind on 2 separate occasions during my lease I placed work-orders reporting I was waking up to blood spots on my sheets and need an exterminator. Initial no one came and then after months someone left a note stating they couldn't find any bugs. So if after I moved out they found bedbugs, then the property let me live in a bug infested apartment for months putting my health at risk. I have never missed a rental payment, my friends can attest I keep an extremely clean house and have everyone take their shoes off before they enter my home. I'm concerned if they did this with me, then my immediate neighbor or even the rest of the property might be at risk. $2038.69 sounds like I punched holes in the wall, ripped the carpet up and stained the carpet to septic flood damage levels. I know I can't be alone in this, so I though I would let you know. I can attach a picture of the damages. I left that property very clean.

  • Awesome place to live!

    August 3, 2015
Perfect starter or forever apartment. You get a lot of space for a good price. Bedrooms are a good size and even the second bedroom will fit a queen bed plus furniture. The nook gives you extra space for a work/study area. Very good location, located just outside of Towson and Baltimore which gives you many eating, shopping, and entertainment options. Maintenance is very efficient and helpful, and resolves issues very quickly. I love it here!
