Great, except for the roaches (Chévere, aparte de las cucarachas)

I hate to write this review because the location is great, and the management and maintenance teams have been very kind and helpful in many ways. However, I believe potential renters should know that there appears to be a serious roach problem in the building.
We have lived here for almost three months, and we have seen approximately 2–5 cockroaches inside our apartment each week, along with additional roaches in the hallway and trash room. The building does monthly spraying, and maintenance has ...
also come into our unit to spray heavily and place baits and traps. Unfortunately, the number of sightings has not meaningfully decreased.
We eventually hired our own pest-control professional, who helped us identify likely entry points behind the oven. We personally taped and caulked the visible gaps ourselves, which seemed to help in that area, but then we began seeing activity near the dishwasher area. We asked maintenance to inspect behind the dishwasher and also address large gaps behind/around the mounted microwave, but they declined to remove or inspect those areas and asked us to wait until their pest-control company came.
However, when the building’s pest-control company, EcoSmart Pest Control, came, they sprayed and placed traps, but they also declined to inspect behind the dishwasher, despite visible staining/trails in that area that should at least be cleaned up so as not to attract more roaches. After the treatment, we have continued seeing roaches, including one on the kitchen floor the next day and several dead roaches outside our front door. I have taped around the dishwasher, which hopefully has slowed them down for now.
We genuinely like the staff and the apartment itself. We are close to work, have a great view, our unit is renovated, work orders are usually completed quickly, and the pool is well maintained. But we wish we had known about the roach issue before moving in. Neighbors have also told us they have dealt with roaches in the building for a long time. Based on our experience, routine spraying has not been enough, and the issue seems to require more thorough inspection, sealing of entry points, and building-level treatment. Consider this before signing.
