A Safe, Quiet Oasis

I have lived in Lake Clair for over 5 years now and will probably never move as long as I live in this town. It’s a perfect quiet community for singles and couples. All the units are one bedroom and there’s a no dog policy so the only sounds you may hear are the geese and ducks playing on the pond. I have one of the older units with the white kitchen, which I adore as it keeps the apartment vibe bright and clean feeling. There’s so much natural light it’s like living in a treehouse.
The bedroom ...
is large and there’s two massive closets. It’s the perfect size and layout, easy to keep clean and comfortable. Every once in a while I can hear my upstairs neighbor walking around if he hits a squeaky patch in the floor but other than that it’s silent all around. I sleep peacefully every night.
The staff here are wonderful and always promptly address any problems you may have. It’s perfectly located to get downtown or the All American Expressway. Grocery stores and dining all around. All the neighbors I’ve met are friendly. Plenty of nurses and teachers here. About twice a year the apartment complex throws a really nice party at the clubhouse with live music and great food.
Anyways, I know I’m hyping this place up a lot but it’s really a great living space, especially for singles, quiet types, or people just looking for a little zen. For single ladies, the 2nd and 3rd floors are extra safe and private. The bottom floor units have direct walk outs to the landscaped grounds, which is also really nice especially on the “lake” side.

We loved living at Lake Clair! We unfortunately recently had to move because of a job relocation, but our time there was wonderful! All of the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, including the landlord Tammy, office staff Natalie, and maintenance staff John. They consistently fixed any issues, even incredibly minor issues (like a towel bar missing) almost immediately (like within a couple of hours!). I was afraid of NC bugs/water roaches, but they are very diligent spraying multiple ...
times a year, and we never had an issue at all. Some of the apartments have washer/dryer hookups, and while ours did not, the laundry room on-site was always well-maintained. It was quiet, clean, and peaceful. Our neighbors were all incredibly very nice and friendly, and we never had a problem with noise or parties at all. The majority of the tenants are young professionals, military, and retired people. The landscaping and lake is absolutely beautiful! (We even had our wedding portraits taken right on the apartment grounds!) You can fish in the lake if you live at the complex as well. We never had problems with crime, and I always felt very safe. Police officers lived in the building on and off during the time we lived there and at times would park their squad cars there when off-duty, which increased our feeling of safety. The apartments also have security alarm systems, which is well-displayed on every door. It was also incredibly affordable and centrally located to everything in Fayetteville, in a nice area (mostly family-friendly, safe neighborhoods and medical office buildings). I would recommend this apartment to anyone!

I am so glad I moved here. I have anxiety and it took a lot of courage for me to move out on my own. I was really worried about my safety, with me being single...but this place is so quiet and I feel like there is a sense of community and that we look out for each other. Most everyone says hello when you pass them or gives a wave. I may live alone but I really never feel alone! The one bedroom apartments are clean and nice, and they were kind enough to let me have my cats here, too!

is friendly and helpful ( which is great for me because I go to school full-time online and work full time...so I don't have time or money to fix things-a big plus with renting!), and the surroundings are serene and soothing! I live by the lake side, but they also have a pool side option. I like to be able to walk along the lake or look out at the scenery. It's such a great place to live and I highly recommend it!

I lived at Lake Clair for about 3 years, 8 months -- I've been doing the apartment-living thing for about 10 years now, moving between towns for jobs and education (I just moved away for a job), and I can straight-up say that I've never had a better apartment-living experience. The staff were great and I consider them personal friends. The one or two times I ever had any issue, it was handled very promptly and was solved. The place was great (and the lake is wonderful, gorgeous, with great bass ...
fishing up by that creek near Owen Drive during the early part of the year -- seriously, if I was just some internet 'bot, I wouldn't know that detail. Use a plastic worm -- cheap and versatile). I met some of my very closest friends as next-door neighbors. The area is as safe as Fayetteville gets (I never had any issues at all... and I really do feel like Fayetteville has improved massively over its reputation in terms of safety and all), the azaleas by the pool are beautiful in spring, the pool is great in summer, and if I was moving back to the area tomorrow, I'd immediately go back. I could not more strongly recommend that anyone looking for an apartment in Fayetteville check out Lake Clair. I'm not sure you'll get a discount or anything, but tell them that the guy who saved those goose eggs (which hatched into some really cute goslings) recommended them :)
