December 13, 2023Hartford on the Lake is a decent choice. The office staff puts effort into assisting residents. Recent property improvements by the new owners are noticeable—the lake's beauty, better landscaping. Safety measures seem prioritized. Don’t Move here

DONT DO IT
May 14, 2022My first night here, and I’m already looking for other places to live. Cockroaches everywhere!! They painted over a few dead ones. No AC after getting it “fixed”. By fixing all they did was make it blow hotter air. Single-pane windows so you hear everything and everyone, and they don’t even shut all the way. Constant flow of cars so good luck sleeping. I can already tell that my first rent payment is going into escrow, and I have a feeling every month to follow as well. DONT MOVE HERE!Review from Apartments.com
Look somewhere else
April 22, 2021If you just need somewhere to stay so you can save your money for a year then move somewhere better when the lease is up, this is the place for you. There wasn’t a day that went by where I didn’t see multiple little orange ants in my apartment, even when I would spray there was still places they would pop up. I am not a dirty person either so I knew it wasn’t me, I even found ants in my noodles that were in my cabinet, they claimed to do pest control before & during my stay there but it clearly ...didn’t work. About 2 months after living there I started to hear scratching & crawling coming from the vent in my bedroom, I informed the leasing office of this & it was NEVER looked into or taken care of. When it snows they don’t clear off the road or sidewalks in the complex which makes it unsafe when there’s ice under the snow. Drug addicts walked up to my car multiple times throughout the year while I lived here. They have security ride through the complex but what’s the point when addicts are still walking up to the car & all around the complex? My heat in my apartment was broken & maintenance came to fix it but it didn’t really work for long afterwards. Neighbors were nice, quiet, & didn’t bother anyone. Maintenance requests were done in a timely manner & the only issue that didn’t last long after being fixed was my heat. Management does work with residents on payment arrangements if needed so that’s why they get 2 stars but I would never recommend this complex to anyone.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

October 3, 2020you should not move in these apartments when i moved here everything they said everything was ok and it wasn't ok on the last room it was Horrible water dirty came from the next door bathroom they never came to fix it. !!!! THERE ARE A BUNCH OF BED BUGS they came to fix it but the ppl that live here said that this does not work at all they never came to fix it and theirs bed bugs all over Hartford apartments!!! this place sucks the lake very disgusting also the trees when u walk the trees ...smell disgusting. theirs spiders,roaches,mosquitoes that docent let you sleep at all .not even the bed bugs.the police comes almost everyday to knock on ur door this is a very dangerous . the heat does not work only cold thing works.i dont recommend this placeRead MoreReview from Apartments.com

Horrible apartments
September 21, 2018Absolutely terrible. Bed bugs , roaches, constant floods in your apartment... Maintenance is a joke. The office never answers their phones.. Complete lack of respect and privacy.
