June 5, 2025Moved here 6 months ago and worst mistake I’ve ever made. Should’ve stayed in my previous apartment. Toxic black mold. Been living in a hotel for over a month because Heatherwood refuses to fix the issues. Currently under medical care due to mold toxicity. Stay far away from this place. Especially building 10 as they have shown not to care at all about the residents in that building by keeping them in an unsafe living condition. Have reports from independent mold assessment done to confirm they ...are putting residents at risk. Crime
April 10, 2022Neighbors would fight from 11:00PM to 6:00AM every 2 weeks. Cops would come, kick them out and the complex refused to do anything about it. Instead they wanted to raise our rent another $200+ a month. CPS would come too. Some staff extremely rude. A lot of crime in the complex in general with the police coming to many other buildings as well. Not worth the moneyReview from Apartments.com

ROACHES!!!!
June 1, 2021wish I didn’t have to leave any stars to post a review! Lakeside is GARBAGE! Roaches are everywhere, moved in my apartment and that same day I noticed them immediately! Exterminator has come multiple times they continue to come back it’s disgusting. I posted multiple pictures of them on their reviews. Now I’m stuck paying 4 months worth of rent and my security all because I need to get out of here and break my lease! Do not ruin your life by living here it’s DISGUSTING!!!Review from Apartments.com

Unfair rent increases
September 5, 2018I moved into the Lakeside Village in December of 2017. Last week I received a new rental agreement which they wanted signed in one week time. They do this so you don't have time to look elsewhere. When I moved in I was given a "special" rent rate that was $25 off per month. For my new rent, they increased it $75 a month. This increase is the normal $50 increase on top of the $25 break they gave me as a "special". I find this to be a ridiculous rent increase and refuse to pay it. I checked with ...other tenants and I was told this has never happened to them.
