A waste of money
May 4, 2022I have lived here close to 3 years and I’m finally moving out. The management changed about less than a year ago, and they’re completely useless. I was doing my laundry at random laundry mats for several months, and we were never notified that they were even broken. I have messaged the official manager several times who purposefully ignores my messages. There has been caution tape over the stairs to my apartment for close to a year because the stairs aren’t connected to the actual staircase and ...could easily fall, but I suppose they just decided to not fix it? On top of this, there was an instance where she sent out a mass message through an app telling us a specific location to leave our rent (claiming this spot was the best location). Only a couple days later, that building was broken into and they stole all of it. So the managers response was to tell everyone to put their rent into this new “safer” location. I can only imagine how “safe” my rent is when there haven’t been working locks on the doors to the main office in close to a year. They have a great alternative though, pay through an app that charges more than a $20 dollar fee on top of your rent for “electronic services”. Please go somewhere else.Property Manager Responded

We do have a new manager so if you would like to discuss anything, please feel free to reach out directly as we would like the opportunity to speak to you. There is a $21 service fee to pay online, however is not charged by the property website, it’s a service fee charged by the vendor processing your payment. All payments are based on a percentage of the payment amount depending on what type of card used, a credit card is a higher fee. The best cost savings way to make a payment is by ACH which is only .95 cents. We want to make sure you know you have other options that are also convenient to make your payment. Management
January 22, 2022Maintenance requests go ignored for weeks, and phone calls to the office about maintenance are ignored; the doors to the office are now kept locked. Prior to the management change, the air filters in everyone’s furnace were changed every three months. This stopped with no warning once PMR took over. Many residents here are elderly or college-age, and the accumulation of dust on the filters is a fire hazard. The only way management communicates with residents is through an app, so the older and ...elderly residents and those without the app do not receive important messages. Along with the rise in filth comes a rise in rent. Our rent went up $130 dollars with management change, along with mystery charges that cannot be accounted for by staff. The only amenity at Lakewood West is the swimming pool, which was only open for about a month this past summer. The road leading into the apartment complex is riddled with potholes. I have personally had not one, but two flat tires over the course of a year while living here. One was from the grate at the end of the steep hill by the office. If you like being inconvenienced, management/maintenance/upkeep that is completely absent, dog poop, and having to take your laundry elsewhere, then Lakewood West is for you.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 15, 2021Recently new owners took over and raised the rent. Since then they do not keep entry ways clean, they are never in the office nor answer the phone, and the pool was only open for about a month. Most recently the laundry facility is locked on Sundays so I hope you don't need to do any laundry on the weekend.Review from Apartments.com
