The reality of Lakewood
November 4, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comLakewood Hills Apartments is a relatively nice place to live. Although the price of utilities is astronomical without the ability to choose your own electricity provider, it is fine. Lakewood neglects to inform people that smoking does occur in the buildings. Past tenants are "grandfathered in," allowing other apartments to also smell of smoke. This was not disclosed upon moving in, and it was only disclosed after complaints about the smell. Additionally, the idea of reserved parking should be ...just that; however, it is rarely enforced, and people constantly park in the spots reserved for them temporarily, which impedes tenants' ability to get into the places they pay for. The pet policy is lacking; people walk their pets on leashes long enough that they can and will jump onto other people, and there is no enforcement from the leasing office.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

January 14, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI signed a lease based off of a virtual tour that was misleading. Physical condition of apartment was unsatisfactory for rental price. Paint and caulking smeared on the floors. Visible gap between carpet and baseboards. Carpets have mild staining. Some cabinets are worn and outlet covers not secured. Space and layout of apartment is not efficient. Nevermind that you have to pay to park in front of your own building.Property Manager Responded

Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, and the entire complex is very quiet, clean and peaceful while also being pet friendly. The maintenance staff is one of the best I’ve interacted with in terms of accommodating individual requests and prompt responsiveness.
