Black Mold- do not move here
August 22, 2024DO NOT MOVE HERE: 2 months ago, we noticed a leak in the backdoor, which soaked the carpet when it rained, resulting in mold, which smelled awful. We made several maintenance reports, some of which were emergency when we started experiencing health problems because of the mold. We were constantly told " they did not have the parts" to fix it. (irrelevant but we didnt have a stove for two weeks because it was broken and they didn't fix it for two weeks). We had to hire a mold professional to come ...look into our apartment and he found 41,000 spores in the air of our apartment, some of those spores were black mold. The apartment was determined uninhabitable.Property Manager Responded

DON'T MOVE HERE
April 26, 2023since they changed management, it still isn't any better. loud neighbors, thin walls you can hear everything. people speed through the parking lot and blast music especially when the office is closed. you have to call multiple times to try and reach someone in the office. this area is almost like the projects. Management doesn't care about their tenants all they want is the rent paid on time. This place needs a total makeover. this is the worst place ever. Not worth what they charge for ...rent. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!!!Property Manager Responded

Horrible
April 23, 2021Management is not existent. Will enter your apartment without knocking or notice (yes when you’re home) gives your apartment keys to third parties with no surveillance or monitoring . Will not return your calls no matter the reasoning. Expects you to accommodate them for any project they have come up with overnight - if you work from home this means missing work, but of course they still expect their rent on time. Power outages and water shut offs happen regularly with no warning or eta when it ...will be fixed. Drugs all through the complex to point people will be tweaking down the street in broad daylight. Shootings almost every week—- just save your self the headache and risk and rent ANYWHERE BUT HEREProperty Manager Responded

Given the run-around twice
January 5, 2021I had a tour for a studio scheduled 2 different times. The first time they were dishonest about which units were available, and the second time they just plain lost my scheduled tour. The officie staff are pretty impolite to new comers as well. (Just come outside and talk to me rather than shouting your displeasure through the door) If they handle future residents this way, I can only imagine the nonsense they give to people who live there.Property Manager Responded

Don't believe the hype!
December 5, 2017Lies and fabricated stories is what I would describe about Lakewood Apartments. They are not upfront about their policies and procedures. My spouse and I were led to believe that we had an apartment and even was informed of a move in date. We were even informed of nearby schools and other area attractions. Our hopes were high, that is until we gave our money, after we gave up our initial application fees we never heard from them again. Please don't fall for the hype of Lakewood Apartments, ...they are CON ARTIST!!Property Manager Responded
