This has been the best apartment complex that I have lived in. Very quiet neighborhood and it is close to my daughters school. Nice swimming pool. Walking distance to the Library,waterpark, grocery store. Best kept secret in Minden.

While Lamplighter Apartments in Minden, La provide the seclusion and peace that any peace lover is looking for, it also comes with the set of hidden whys you wish you knew before. My family and I are in a transitional phase in our life. After my husband and I married and started a family fairly young we've had to literally start from the bottom and work our way up (not there yet... I mean as in up). situation at the time (because he had provided a way out) we chose Lamplighter. Through excitement we saw the empty apartment and thought yes! The space we need and the peace.... we want it and NOW! This feeling didnt last long once moved in and realized the apartments were poorly kept. Cheap flooring.. carpet and laminate. Wasp that prevent us from going onto our balcony... ever, after my 1 one year old daughter got stung TWICE just from opening the door to look out. A horrible old musk odor, not thoruougly cleaned either. All of this for $750 dollars a month! Yet when we arrive home after working over 30 miles from where we live the peace we feel i would buy for a million bucks! So it's a love hate relationship... come at your own risk. :)
