July 21, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comThe apartments look nice but I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors snoring. You can hear them closing doors, you can hear conversations I can even hear my next door neighbor walking! The walls have flat paint so if you get anything on them you’re not able to clean your walls without taking off the paint. The staff is very condescending and won’t bother to explain any fees that are given. They will quote you one thing and then when you move in ...you’ll be paying a whole different price. The trash is constantly overflowing and unless you take it back to your apartment to let it pile up there they will fee you. There are car break ins everyday. You’re not allowed to decorate your balcony with the colors you’d like or else you’d be given a fee. Overall the staff will not make you feel welcomed at all and constantly wrongfully fee you and won’t care to explain why. This is definitely not a luxury apartment and not worth the price. There are multiple sister properties that look just like this with lower rent and a better community. The staff here makes it hard to feel at home.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

The restriction on certain balcony furniture colors was a policy from the previous management company; Harbor Group does not have these restrictions in place. Regarding trash, when it is left on the ramp instead of in the compactor, it is due to improper disposal by residents. We have sent multiple emails and notices with reminders and information about alternative disposal options to help prevent overflow and related issues. If you ever see charges on your ledger that you don’t understand, we encourage you to reach out to our office directly. Our team is happy to review them with you and provide a clear explanation. We strive to address concerns promptly and work toward making Lawndale Commons a comfortable place to call home.

March 12, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comWe have been living here for a little while and it is overall okay. We have had some break ins and they “got security” but we don’t ever see security. When we had first presented to them about our break ins and stuff we were told “just buy a garage”. The leasing agents sometimes have an attitude when you let them know that you are a resident and not a future resident. The apartment itself is fine but just the overall way they go of things are just different.Property Manager Responded

Beautiful Yet Poorly Made
February 19, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comI want to start by acknowledging that the apartments and the property are VERY beautiful and the staff are, *generally*, very nice. However, beyond looks and nice smiles, there were three main issues I experienced: (1) build quality that produced noise problems, (2) communication from the staff, and (3) foul smells from pipes in the bathroom. (1) The construction quality of the units is poor, evident by the easily stained walls and the noise issues. Normal-level conversations from neighbors ...could be easily heard in your unit and many residents blasted their car and home music to the point where you could hear it from inside your apartment. It wouldn’t be so bad if the apartments were constructed better. I’ve lived in many apartments where people blast their car music and I’ve never had this issue before. (2) The communication via their texting system was frequent, and in my opinion, too frequent. While I can appreciate highly communicative staff, some of the messages were downright rude and they often threatened to fine people for minor things (e.g., misuse or inability to use the trash compactor). They failed to realize that children and people with physical disabilities may have a difficult time throwing their trash over the long ledge required to get the trash into the compactor. It’s not as simple as putting a bag into a regular dumpster. It’s also very inconvenient to only have one dumpster for an entire apartment complex. (3) In my particular unit, there was a strong sewage smell in the bathrooms. This persisted despite weekly cleaning of the toilets, tub, and sinks. This is likely another poor build quality issue. Overall, it’s a beautiful complex that is very safe (no break-in issues or theft) and you get a sizable balcony! However, if you’re sensitive to noise and prioritize well-built units, Lawndale Commons might not be the best home for you.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded
