Disappointed
October 21, 2024I've been living in this apartment complex for several years now, and while there are some positive aspects, the pet policy and upkeep of common areas leave much to be desired. As a dog owner, I paid the required $300 pet fee upfront and continue to pay $25 every month. Despite these fees, the outdoor areas are constantly littered with animal waste, making walks with my dog frustrating and unpleasant. The staff claims they collect samples to fine owners who don’t pick up after their pets, but ...I’ve never seen this actually enforced. It feels like they’re just collecting fees without addressing the real issue. If you're a pet owner thinking about moving here, be prepared to deal with a lack of cleanliness and little accountability when it comes to keeping the grounds clean.Property Manager Responded

March 21, 2023Legacy Union Square is awesome. From my first contact with Sierra to my interactions with Christian and maintenance, I have been treated well and all questions are answered within minutes to hours, not days to weeks. The application, approval, and contract process is seamless. The grounds are well-maintained. I have had no problems with smokers. The kitchen is huge, and plenty of storage for everything. I love that the mailroom is secure, and packages are locked as well. I have absolutely no ...complaints.Property Manager Responded

Nice design, poor management
November 10, 2021This complex looks good at first sight. Unfortunately residents and management make it pretty uncomfortable here. Fantastic! We are loving our apartment home here!
July 18, 2021After a move from Palm Beach, our first stop in Mid-State Florida was less than we expected. After satisfying a short term 3 month lease, we discovered Legacy Union Square in Davenport. We couldn't be happier! The apartment is bright, spacious, modern and comfortable. The storage and closet space is superb! The location is absolutely amazing, as I have several different alternative routes to work that can be adjusted based on traffic. Everything you need...from grocery to restaurants are ...close by. The hot air balloon launches that happen every so often are magical. It's a quiet respective community, and dog friendly! People actually pick up after their pets...what a relief. We are so grateful to have found this community and look forward to settling into our new location in Mid-State Florida. Thank you, Legacy Union Square! Resort Living!
January 13, 2021This apartment complex is amazing. The staff is excellent, always there to help. The apartments are well taken care of, community is clean, everyone I have met is polite, yet I have been here over a year and haven’t met many people so it is quiet as well if you prefer that. They have food trucks come to the front frequently, and they send out many invitations for events (summer bash at the pool with food and drinks). They’re very dog friendly (two dog parks and a paw spa!) and helped me meet my ...forever fur baby through an adoption agency they were connected with. The pool is amazing! The new package lockers are so convenient when you’re not home and they hold your package for you, to which you can open them with just a click from your phone! I feel safe walking my dog late at night, and plus they have a nighttime security guard for added comfort! Champions Gate is a great location right next to I-4 so you can easily go anywhere! New restaurants are being built up minutes away from this apartment complex. Definitely recommend living here!Property Manager Responded

Not REALLY a smoke free facility
December 13, 2019This place is the furthest thing from a smoke free facility, as they proudly advertise. Calling this property a smoke free facility would be like calling a bar an alcohol free establishment. There are many smokers on property, and do not even hide their smoke, because they know management will do absolutely nothing about it. No punishment. No warnings. Nothing. I have seen 6 units that have had the tenants out smoking on the patio mid day. Not a care in the world. There are even units near the ...pool that have ash trays out on their patio. Management is more concerned about party announcements and emailing about shelter animals. Management NEEDS to really crack down on the smokers. Or don't fake advertise that you are a smoke free facility. Can't wait until my contract is up in a few months, and then I'm gone.Property Manager Responded

If we receive a complaint about residents smoking, we either address them directly or send a lease violation. Unfortunately, if someone is violating their lease agreement in regards to our smoke free policy we cannot know unless we are told about it or see it ourselves.
