March 15, 2025Beware of Deceptive Practices at Legacy at Fox Valley Apartments – Move-In Day Disaster (March 12, 2025) On March 12, 2025, I moved into Legacy at Fox Valley Apartments, expecting a clean, well-maintained unit as promised during my tour. Instead, I was met with severe issues that made the unit uninhabitable from day one. False Advertising & Poor Move-In Conditions Before signing the lease, I was shown well-maintained units and assured that all apartments were identical in cabinetry, ...appliances, and condition—this was a blatant lie. On move-in day, I encountered: • Filthy Conditions: Oily residue and dirt inside cabinets, grease buildup in the oven, and stained carpets with visible spots. • Poor Maintenance: The kitchen sink was leaking, with wilted wood underneath, indicating prior water damage that was never properly repaired. • Loose Cabinets & Fixtures: Cabinets were poorly installed or barely attached, and fixtures throughout the unit were unstable. • Dryer Fire Hazard: The lint trap was full of debris, showing it had never been cleaned—posing a serious fire risk. • Structural Neglect: The balcony wood was so rotted that it broke off during the walk-through. Beware of the changes
November 3, 2023We have lived in this community for over 2 years and since the changes with the property management they are charging for every little thing. You have to pay for property maintenance, monthly service fee and now we will pay for community based allocation of electricity and gas. We have to pay rent and then all the other things that they want their renters to pay. We will not be renewing our lease as enough is enough. They are making it impossible for people to live in this community. Stay away ...and look elsewhere. You will regret moving here as things will become more costly and they will find ways to charge everything to their renters.Property Manager Responded

Poor communication, unsafe
July 31, 2023Poor communication is a shame. Area not safe, constant loitering, constant weed smoking in the parking lots and in buildings, trash flying everywhere all the time from gates being left open. Called the office because my car was towed down the street. She explained they did not have enough materials to rope off the area. Got Charged a fee for the lack of materials the office had. I parked in an un-roped area. . I understand if I was in the wrong, I pulled up the email when I parked to make sure I ...can park there. I have never had an issue, I never missed my rent, I am a good tenant and the one time I call for help with the issue this is what I get. June 15, 2022All is well except two constructive criticism. 1. Since this is a large community, need more maintenance personnel to take care of repair in timely manner. 2. Also, one of the staff member never answer the phone between 5 & 6 pm (closing time). Tried several occasions and different time but no answer. Can't be busy everyday everytime. The reason for bringing this to your attention is some of residents I knew they left because of this situation. June 15, 2022Kathy and her team has been excellent. However the property has older HVAC and appliances. That requires an excellent and knowledgeable maintenance crew. That has not been the case. Looks like there is a new group of maintenance staff. Hoping that the new people are better than the team that was in place. HVAC units do not heat appropriately when the weather gets colder. Have opened two service orders because the heat would not get above 65 degrees on cold days. Neither time was the maintenance ...team able to fix the problem. One HVAC contractor said the units were old and therefore more likely to start having issues heating in colder windy temperatures.
