Terrible Experience
August 19, 2025I would not recommend living at this apartment complex. For the cost of rent, the property feels outdated and poorly maintained. Maintenance requests take forever to be addressed—if they even show up at all. For example, I had a leaking window when it rained. Maintenance came out, removed the pane, and supposedly replaced it, but the leak continued. This not only caused humidity throughout the apartment but also made air conditioning and heating costs much higher. On top of that, the refrigerator ...constantly leaked and was never fixed. The “gated community” claim is misleading because the gates are always left open, offering no real security. One of the pools stayed closed the entire summer despite being told it would be repaired before I moved in. Security is also a major concern—first my boyfriend’s car was stolen, and later my vehicle was stolen while living in this property. While the office staff was nice, my concerns were not escalated to the level I expected, and with only one camera covering the office side, much of the property is left vulnerable. Even after these thefts, the gates were never repaired to prevent further issues. Overall, my experience living here was unpleasant. The complex fails to address basic maintenance and security concerns while charging a premium price. When I tried to end my lease early due to these problems, management still required me to fulfill the lease despite their inability to resolve many of the issues. I would not recommend
July 15, 2022None of the "coming soon' features have actually been added. Those amenities have been listed as "coming soon" since the Morgan properties acquisition in Feb of 2021. If there is a fitness center, please tell me where it is. If it's located in the front office (which is never open) how is someone supposed to access the fitness center? Maintenance is not even worth mentioning. Rent is as high as an apt in North Dallas. I cannot wait to move!Property Manager Responded

The smart lock system was installed in October , the new pool furniture and cornhole game table have been here since last year , the new gym furniture is here as well . Unprofessionalism, poor quality, irresponsiveness & not for value
September 1, 2021I don't want to give any stars to this community. I lived there for 14 months and my experience was terrible. Their maintenance service was poor especially during COVID times last year. When we submitted a maintenance request, the maintenance guy came after 3-4 months to fix the issue. We saw garbage everywhere in the complex. The worst part was during the winter storm. My apartment was completely flooded and the carpet was damaged. They didn't repair the apartment for an entire month. We got ...frustrated and moved out of the apartment. They charged us for the damages to the carpet which was not our fault. There was no water during the winter storm. Even after that, we didn't have a water supply in March 2021 for 4 days and they didn't even inform us of such a water cut. Management is rude and unprofessional. We left the apartment on March 29th, 2021 and we handed over keys to them but still, they charged us for the keys. Our lease ended in March 2021 but they never removed us from their system till July 2021 when we told them that we already left your community in March. They already leased our apartment in April 2021 but they still charged us the late fees of July months rent. Such is the unprofessional and careless management they have….. Even new management charged us for house key which we already returned to the main office after moving. They have a lack of communication. They don't answer your phone. My Honest Opinion
August 3, 2021I moved here January if 2021. It was a different owner then but they were attentive to my concerns. Under the new ownership, strides are being made to continue to make this community a wonderful place to live. I watch as improvements are being made in my building and around me. I appreciate the management, the management team, maintenance manager, and maintenance team and all their combined and collective efforts in making The Legacy at Cedar Hill a place I can call home.Property Manager Responded

Horrific
May 24, 2021It’s the most unprofessional complex I’ve ever resided in. Maintenance work orders are being closed without the work being completed. My kitchen sink water leak started out small when I entered the work request almost two months ago. Now the water leak has grown so big because we still have to wash dishes that the water spills over the containers we have to collect the water and has ruined the cabinets. I’ve gone to the office, called and placed several work orders just for them to say they are ...giving the wo to the maintenance supervisor and the issue still persists. I put a work order in for our dishwasher 3 months ago and maintenance said they were ordering a new one. Today I still dnt have a dishwasher. Very poor management.Property Manager Responded

October 10, 2019What ever you do don’t move here , bad office staff, very rude. They hire a towing coming that breaks into your vehicle still and tow your vehicle .Maintenance crew come in your apartment stayed they fix something , when you have not requested. The garage is small , office lie say it’s real big. These apartments are very horrible . A lot of break -ins . What ever you do don’t move to the Legacy of Cedar Hill. October 20, 2017# 1 issue - office staff is MIA, if you call no one will answer and if you leave a voice message do not expect to receive a call back. #2 - maintenance is terrible we have black mold growing on the windows and all the Did was spray kilts on it. #3- bugs. We only eat in the kitchen and yet we are dealing with bugs #4 - by far the most alive place to live. It is always noisy. We heard a lot of bad things about this place, but we moved in because it was the only place that had the square footage ...we needed. Don't Do It
July 14, 2017Four days and counting without AC in July Texas weather is unacceptable. People die in this heat!! Called management multiple times, left voicemail with resident emergency contact line, and visited the front office... nothing. I pay rent, fix the AC!! Legacy at Cedar Hill just doesn't care.
