Don’t move here
December 2, 2025I moved into this community in June and have had ongoing concerns that still haven’t been properly addressed. Security has been a major issue — the entry doors and laundry room locks break frequently, leaving the building unsecured. Despite submitting multiple work orders, the repairs are often temporary or incomplete, and several requests were marked as “resolved” even though no work was actually done. The same door was “fixed” and then broke again within 24 hours. Another major concern is the ...basement flooding with sewage. This has happened more than once, leaving standing sewage water near the storage units. Maintenance marked the issue complete without fixing it, and no updates or communication were provided. This is not only unsafe but also a health and sanitation violation. Management has been responsive in communication but not effective in action. After only a few months, I do not feel safe or confident in the condition of the property. I hope these issues begin to be taken seriously, as residents deserve a secure and well-maintained place to live.Property Manager Responded

December 31, 2024I have been here for almost 2 years… I have had nothing but problems with my heat since this cold season has started… I have put in multiple work orders for them to come and “fix” it for it to be a temporary fix…. I can’t believe we pay for heat here and we can’t control our own heat and it works when it wants to…Property Manager Responded

November 9, 2024I just moved in and so far everything has been great , the move in process was cool . The neighbors are quiet, it’s clean. The shower drain has been backed up terribly since I’ve moved in as well as a closet door being broken so that’s why it’s minus 1 star but hopefully maintenance can get out to my unit soonProperty Manager Responded

November 4, 2024I used to manage a 37-unit apartment complex in Ferndale, for 8 years,until it was sold. SO - I have experience as a manager and as a tenant. My wife and I have been here for 8 years. Overall, I'd say Lex Village does about as good a job as anyone -they take care of appliance problems, electrical issues, plumbing issues all in very prompt time.
