June 4, 2023My husband and I found the Sync last year and were so excited to make this place our new home especially after dealing with a whole other terrible apartment complex and management. Upon us applying for an apartment in building 9 we were approved and moved in right away….only to discover that the WHOLE BUILDING IS INFESTED WITH TERMITES AND HAS BEEN INFESTED FOR 5 YEARS!!!!! They never EVER mentioned it to us, they only briefly mentioned that the have pest control come every week, we assumed they ...were just on top of keeping the apartments pest free but that was far from the truth….we can’t afford to get out of our lease so we are forced to stay here for the entire year and I am truly terrified of my ceiling or floor collapsing… we’re at a loss of what to do… AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE….Property Manager Responded

Doesn’t care about residents
December 28, 2021I have lived here for about 6 months and while the apartment appears fine on the surface during the leasing process, once you move in you will realize there are all kinds of issues with the appliances and the trash collection. Not only does management not do an acceptable job fixing these things, they are also mean when you attempt to address them. Do not live here. I have no idea how this place has good reviews everywhere you look because no one else that I know who lives here likes it either.Property Manager Responded

Current resident for 7months(1year contract) honest pros/cons of apartment and recent experience
February 4, 2016pros: new apartment , AC/heat/other stuff is new so less chance of going out ,nice business area ( coffee machine, sofas, computer room, swiming pool ( if you like tanning), nice staff(all of them are nice) cons: apartment floor(hallway) is really dirty, occasionally you will see large dog poops as you walk by the apartment complex, the apartment wall is thin(you can hear people), the wall paint is also very easy to get stained or scratched(watch out), Apartment has two gates( main gate was ...broken about 2-3months of my total 7 month lease so far typical problem when I asked other residents) , business center is only available until 6pm (sucks for people with 9-5 jobs), One time homeless guy was using the business area for couple of days, and sleep in the apartment complex before cop came and kick him out. I felt very threatened because the homeless guy was not friendly either. also ,computer system that they use is very confusing for both agents/renters(read below) I was rushed when I was moving in, So I didn't really have time to decide whether A1(790) or A2(935) would offer good space for me(I don't have a lot of stuff) But i decided to go with A2(which they recommended me at a time), but I always felt like I have too much space than I needed(I'm a student usually in school) So I was going to ask to see if I can transfer to A1 and I had an agent confirmed(there's also a transfer fee of 300 dollars but she said it can be waved if you have a new contract for a year) So i ran to HEB and got the money order and put the deposit to the apartment! (that was sunday I was very excited) But then I got a call from manager monday, and they said they CANNOT give me that apartment because that was NEVER available on the system(but they said I can move to this A1 which cost 860 instead of 790 which i thought it was weird) , I was very disappointed. I don't know if they REJECTED my application for transfer because it is financially better decision for them to accept new renters than having a existing renter transfer, or it was actually just a computer problem. In general I like the apartment(i just think i pay way too much for one bedroom apartment) but make sure you do in depth research (take as much time as you can) and decide how much space you need, how much money you are willing to pay per month, everything before actually sign the lease.Property Manager Responded

Elysian At Arden Park
August 18, 2015Here at Elysian at Arden Park the apartment community is beyond great. The staff are friendly and always respond to our needs fast. I really adore all of thee neighbors. Very family oriented and gated community that makes it feel even more like a home rather then just an apartment. I love that it's in a great location of San Antonio and that it has the feel and vibe of luxury. I've recommended our apartment complex to several friends and would suggest Elysian to anyone.Property Manager Responded

Mismanaged mess
August 15, 2015I moved into the apartments in January of 2015 and it have observed a steady decline in the property ever since. The "management" changed shortly after I moved in, and nothing ever gets repaired. Noise is a real problem, even on the 4th floor, because the windows are so thin. The exercise room equipment, which is inadequate for such a large complex, is not maintained or cleaned and half of it is inoperable, some since last March. The breezeways and stairwells are not maintained, and trash, ...debris, and cigarette butts are everywhere. The electronic gates often fail to function, and are not timely repaired. For the last 24 hours all the electronic gates and doors have been inoperable, locking tenants out of their parking lots and access to the exercise room. I've called and sent e-mails about my many concerns to both the on-site management and their Houston office, and never receive a reply. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Nice complex, highly recommend
July 21, 2015We've enjoyed this apartment. The location is only about 8-10 minutes from the medical center area which is convenient for my husband. The apartment is also close to many other things like the grocery store, shopping, parks. Sea world and the zoo are about a 25 minute drive. The apartment itself has nice amenities like the pool, car wash station and 24 hr fitness center. I really enjoy the pool because I can enjoy it with my 9 month old. It has 2 6 inch portions so she can sit and play with me by ...her side. The rest of the pool ranges from 3ft to 5 ft. The people in the leasing office are very nice and do what they can to make tenants happy. There are garages to rent as well as 5x8 storage units which is convenient if you need one. The only downside to this apartment so far is that noise in the hallway is easily heard. It's usually not an issue though. I also wish that the common area with the pool table was open longer; it's only open during business hours.Property Manager Responded
