January 10, 2026Was Once a Good Place Lived here for years and can’t wait to move. 1. Since the transition to Southwood staff has been a rotating door of people. You never know who’s gonna be in those offices the next time you speak to them in person 2. Staff will be friendly and understanding on the phone and email. But they’ll go back on their promises and act like they have no memory of their agreements with you. 3. Maintenance is subpar, and the maintenance crew likes to mouth off and be unprofessional. ...4. They absolutely target residences and will enforce rules on some and not others. (e.g. balcony condition, vehicle tags, vehicle condition, pets) 5. Trash pick up services are inconsistent and terrible. You cannot opt out of it, but they want to be so strict about what times to put out the garbage. All in the name of keeping the place looking nice, but the trash compactor is always overflowing with garbage. At times there’s been a MOUNTAIN of trash left in front of the dumpster by THEIR trash service! 6. They refuse to upkeep the dog park. Covered in weeds, and dog poop. They claim to enforce dog poop rules, yet it’s piled in the dog park. 7. Appliances have been falling apart. Microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer all have been falling apart. They refuse to fix these or replace them. 8. Hot water tank is sat in a plastic tray, I have been told by SR’s after hours maintenance tech that this is a dangerous design as a leak or water release of the tank could result in rusting. Compromising the tank’s structure. When I told the previous realty manager on this, he just acted like it was just how it is. Southwood is terrible at managing properties, they treat residences an inconvenience, not customers. They do not care about residence safety, and keeping the units to a standard worth the rent price. They think getting another over priced food truck to sit up front is enough to make us look past these glaring issues.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

June 20, 2023I’ve been here 3 years and love it. I feel safe walking around the community at night, the management is friendly and responsive, the neighbors are respectful, the grounds are nicely kept.
