worst apartment in Austin
June 4, 2021When I moved in we had to deal with Cockroaches from the previous people for two months. On top of that, the wood flooring has gaps throughout the apartment. The front office is extremely unhelpful, they often say to any complaints I’ve had that it’s “Not their problem”. They refused to fulfill part of my lease and give me a clicker for the gate (which has been broken a few dozen times). They also have yet to complete a single maintenance ticket. My room has very low flow of both heating and AC ...and every time I’ve put in a ticket their maintenance worker has come by and asked if the water was running them marked my ticket as complete. On top of all of that, this is a very loud complex, my first few months the cops showed up twice a week and hearing gunshots was not uncommon. I’ve had neighbors shoot at one another, upstairs neighbors partying and stomping all hours of the night every night and at one point the entire property looked like it had just hosted Frat party based on the hundreds of beer cans littered throughout the complex and people passed out on the sidewalk. In all honesty, the only reason I’ve stayed the full amount of the lease was that it was cheap, but cheap came at the cost of much of my mental sanity and many nights of sleep. Do not trust either of the lady’s in the front office. They are only accommodating until you sign the lease.Property Manager Responded

Lotus Village Apartments
August 8, 2015Lotus Village has spacious apartments at an affordable price. Unfortunately, that is all I can mention as a compliment. The dimensions of the units makes organizing furniture very tricky. The rooms are long and narrow and the windows are very low. The AC is not very effective even when functioning properly. The parking spaces are almost entirely for compact cars which makes parking standard size vehicles very difficult. The front gate is regularly broken and standing open. The sidewalks, ...stairs, and courtyards are usually dirty or littered with trash. The front office staff changes constantly and is usually overwhelmed so you have to request things multiple times before getting a response. There is a courtesy officer in residence but it doesn't seem to matter. It's very noisy with screaming kids, people talking out on the balconies, and loud music even late at night. The arrangement of apartments seems to make a echo chamber effect so you can hear noise from across the complex. This is a transitional apartment and despite the units themselves being quite nice the complex is dirty, loud, and not well managed. I would not recommend this apartment unless you are just looking for something cheap.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
