    Since the change in ownership/management, renting at Lumina is a poor financial decision. You will just be throwing your money away to cheap construction and no support. Maintenance and management ignore concerns and repair requests for months. Management allows lease violations, and provides no remedy for unsanitary and hazardous reports. After renting here for a few years, we are now seeing a decline in service and resolution. Please do not contribute until the owners establish better quality ...

  • New management destroyed my Lumina experience

    I used to really love living here, but I have just moved due to worsening quality of the building. I lived here for two years because the building is in the perfect location in the city, right off the Lafitte greenway and walking distance to supermarkets. Ted has been a wonderful and attentive property manager since I've been here. But since the new owners took over, the place has gone downhill. While Lumina is still a property that could be great, the building is built much cheaper than similar ...
    "luxury" apartments, and the new management has driven things into the ground. After two months of trying to negotiate my lease renewal, they only responded (negatively) to my proposal two weeks before my lease expiration, putting me in an impossible situation with little time to decide on what to do. On top of that, they ignored my transfer request for three months, and only responded after rejecting my lease renewal negotiation. Despite granting other transfer requests in these three months, this meant the options were few when I tried to seek out a transfer. My communications with management were condescending and incredibly slow. This is on top of the fact that the cable machine in the gym has been broken for three months and counting, and the Peloton machine is unusable because they discontinued their membership a year ago. While the maintenance team is great and does its best to resolve issues and provide upkeep for the property, the reduction in staff that Two Coast Living made after taking over has degraded the building's quality. Many a weekend, trash was piled up in the trash chutes and overflowing. There are often no sanitizing wipes in the gym anymore, and it is rarely cleaned. When it rains, the gym and the parking garage always rain indoors. Lumina is not worth the price tag. And beware: new management has made it clear to me that the lower rents offered now will certainly rise (which is wild because the quality of the apartment building has gone downhill since Two Coast Living took over). It could be 10 times better, but when management nickel-and-dimes things to make a quick buck, you (the tenant) lose out. I'm glad I decided to make the move out. Not saying don't move here, but just understand that if you are expecting a luxury experience, a clean building, a working gym, and problems resolved within a day, this is not what you will get at Lumina.     Still having a blast at Lumina. Indoor parking, easy access to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and parks, along with a very walkable location make the apartments an ideal living situation. The amenities include a gym and pools, greenway is literally right next to the apartments. Very happy with Lumina apartments.

    Communication can be better , I’m paying for indoor unit instead of outdoor unit like I ask for , I pick my apartment from website and was told it was the exact same layout as model unit which was a outside unit.They had 3rd floor unit , and I turned it down , and wait for 4th floor which should’ve been outside unit like 3rd floor,but it wasn’t communicate properly

    My experience so far with Lumina has been great. The process with getting/ signing a lease/ moving in was a little tricky and I felt like there was a few things that the leasing agent left out upfront that would've been tremendously helpful to know as we navigated the process so we could have been more prepared. The facilities and the apartment are extremely nice and overall I am very happy I live here. It is a quiet environment and everyone I have bumped into has been nice and welcoming.

    It’s been 3 months without the elevators working, I have had to push back surgery and will have to move out soon. Not sure how we will move out with no access to an elevator. We should be receiving a discount when amenities like this are not working for this long. Being forced to take the stairs is crazy work for a luxury apartment and for how much we pay. Door downstairs to buzz people up still doesn’t work after I’ve been here for 3 years. Seems like the company that manages the property are ok ...
    with things not working. One positive is that they have communicated when people will enter apartments in a more timely fashion - but I think that’s the bare minimum requirement of them. Garage works.

    Poor communication at first, had to call multiple times right up to the date we were suppose to move in for any information regarding our move in! Moving in from another state that made things really difficult to plan because there was such little communication.... since then things have been good.     Close to everywhere you wanna be in mid city. Rouses and Winn-Dixie are a two minute walk away. The Greenway is right next to the apartment complex. Lots of restaurants are nearby, including Bayou beer garden and wrong iron. Amenities include two pools, a gym, free Starbucks, coffee. 15 minutes away from most places in New Orleans. Very satisfied with the accommodations Lumina has to offer.
