They don't care.
December 20, 2023I just moved out from here. At first it was a great, beautiful place. Eventually we found out that the pool got closed very frequently with no notice. You just walk down to the pool, kids all excited ready to swim and find the gate locked. Couldn't even bother to put up a sign, even though this was almost weekly during the summer. Not to mention it was closed over a month at the beginning of spring, when it's actually nice outside. As we went along, maintenance issues were ignored for months. ...I'm sure they are busy, but a 30 year old AC unit that can't keep the apartment under 85 in the summer is something that needs to be dealt with. I had a hole in my bathroom ceiling for like 6 weeks because the upstairs apartment had some kind of leak. They patched the hole, but a couple months later it leaked again. They fixed the paint that had bubbles and fallen off, but never addressed the leak. So a week later, the mold was growing faster than I could clean it. At this point I was under a month from moving out so they said they would tear into it after I left, which is understandable. Then 3 weeks after I moved, paid everything and even paid the express cleaning charge so they wouldn't give me any problems, they charged me almost twice as much as normal for a month of water and sewer for the 1 day of December that the lease was still in my name. And I moved out the day prior. Oh also, it's mildly infuriating that I am forced to pay for valet trash, and most weeks the trash would sit outside everyone's apartments for 3+ days. Apartments in general don't care, but Boulder Ridge does a really good job at sucking money out of their residents and not providing anything other than a roof over your head.Property Manager Responded

It's OK and you can find better
December 29, 2022We lived there for 12+ months until we decided to pay the penalty to terminate our lease early, so I'll try to be fair. The Good: + Maintenance crew is fantastic, super friendly and aside from being overworked, they fix everything that depends on them. + Gym is fairly complete and has a good rower, weights and then some. + Leasing office staff is way nicer when you are leasing compared when you are a resident, but overall they try to help out as much as they can. The BAD: - There is a serious ...Trash issue, all of the dumpsters are nasty and they make the maintenance staff pick them up, which makes you feel sorry for them. - We rented a 3 bedroom and the A/C/Heat doesn't reach the main bedroom, so it's always hot or cold in that room. This is not fixable as the unit is not strong enough to push air into it. - We had a Texas waterbug (cockroach) issue, called in pest control repeatedly, one even landing on my daughter out of the air vent. We were told these are normal in Texas. - Our windows weren't sealed enough so cold/hot air would creep inside, affecting electricity bill. These were checked by their vendor and only 1 was changed. Overall it's an OK place but in the area you can find better places to live.Property Manager Responded
