Mixed Experience

I lived at MV Apartments for a time and have a mix of positive and negative feedback to share. While the location offers some excellent conveniences, there are significant issues with the building's construction and management that made for a frustrating living experience. On the positive side, the location is a major highlight. The complex is a short distance from major tech campuses, which is perfect for commuting. breeze in the garage. For day-to-day life, the proximity to a grocery store, a few restaurants, and scenic hiking trails was a huge plus. The apartment is also a short drive from San Jose Airport, which is great for travelers. However, several major drawbacks severely impacted my time here. One of the most significant issues was the noise from neighbors, both upstairs and below. The sound insulation is poor; I could hear people walking above me and general noise from below. Kids slamming doors was a frequent and disruptive occurrence. This lack of soundproofing is a clear design flaw in the building's construction. The mailroom and concierge trash service were constant sources of frustration. The mailroom was a chaotic mess, with packages left on the floor, on counters, and in cabinets. Delivery drivers rarely used the lockers, making it a challenge to find packages. To make matters worse, the electronic lock on the mailroom door was removed, making the area less secure. I had a package stolen and was advised by management to file a police report. Similarly, the concierge trash service often led to trash bags being left in the hallways for extended periods. When the pickup company failed to show up, the hallways would develop an unpleasant odor, especially during the summer. Beyond that, other issues added to the poor living experience. My car was broken into while parked in the supposedly secure garage. The smoke alarms were situated too close to the kitchen, causing them to go off almost every day. While the gym is a nice amenity, a bike was broken for months without being fixed. The pool area, while enjoyable for kids, can be loud with screaming for hours on end, which can be disruptive if you live nearby.

Property Management I’ve had several opportunities to speak to the property manager, and sales team about the maintenance or lack thereof the property. They always say that things will change but since Cushman & Wakefield has taken over the management the attention to property maintenance and just general oversight of the property and those that live here has diminished significantly.

Beautiful place to live! MV Apartments has been a beautiful place to live with a modern layout and very pet friendly. The management are always kind and helpful with any problems that came up. The maintenance staff are fast to respond and assisted with fixing a problem with our air conditioning and washer. The inner courtyard and the dog trails are maintained regularly and beautifully landscaped. I highly recommend MV Apartments and would not hesitate to rent here again.

Okay, Messy Experience The ticket was resolved but the wall repair isn't perfect, just okay. Apartment bathroom was left fairly messy. Lots of dust and stuff left behind. Dusty hand marks on several surfaces. Paint or something on my bathroom rug.

Security deposit is NOT refunded

I moved out of the partment around 1 month ago and while I was waiting to get my $500 deposit check I got an email that I should pay additional $192! I returned the apartment in a very clean condition with no damage to the apartment. I have taken photos when I moved-in and moved out as well as saved screenshot of the move-in form.

No parking spaces available

Nice luxury apartment with swimming pool and gym. I've been living here for 6 months. It's very unfortunate that they've rented out all of the regular parking spaces and only shifters are available. If you do not like to put your car on a shifter, you may not want to choose this apartment.
