My daughter was a student at UNG and, along with a roommate, rented a small apartment from them. The apartment was not clean or in good condition when they took up residence, and the management never refunded the security deposit. Almost 6 weeks after moving out, my daughter had contacted the office multiple times by phone and in person, but was finally told a check was in the mail... the letter with the enclosed check has yet to arrive after being sent over three weeks ago. When I called on ...
my daughter's behalf, the woman I spoke to instantly blamed the mail... again. My daughter's roommate finally drove to their office and the check that was cut was short over $250 due to "cleaning fees" that neither tenant was notified of, verbally or in writing (which the law requires) within the 30 day period after vacating the apartment. Frankly, the individuals operating this apartment are unprofessional and dishonest. The apartment was left much cleaner then when my daughter moved in.
