October 3, 2022If you’re reading this, STAY FAR AWAY from these apartments. They have the worst management. I had initially signed a lease, and when I called prior to move in— they provided wrong information. Subsequently, based on the wrong information, they hiked the price of the apartment exponentially due to very vague reasons, quoting that this was the current market price (though the lease I signed was 2 months prior). After I chose to go with another housing option due to their not honoring the terms of ...the lease, they did not refund even the move-in feee (which they initially told me was refundable). The two women working in the office are not at all knowledgeable, and I had to call 10+ times to get one single answer. TL;DR: worst, unethical, management and dismal responsiveness. Choose any other apartment for your sanity.Property Manager Responded

Not stellar
August 3, 2020I was locked out all weekend. Gate key did not work. I called answering service, no one cared. I was informed that maintenance would get to it Monday. They did not even ask if I had managed to make it into property. I was at the mercy of waiting for others to enter prop to gain access.Review from Apartments.com
LOVE my home
April 8, 2019I’ve lived in magnolia trace since April 2017. I lived in the 400 building and recently moved to a 1 bedroom. Both of my apartments here have been an absolute delight. They are CLEAN, and really feel like home. I have never seen a roach in my home, which is something special considering every other apartment complex in Alexandria has them. Mantienence comes very quickly when you need them and are always very polite. They do pest control sprays about every 3 months. The ladies in the office are SO ...sweet, I love Amanda. Both of the pools are always a delight and are kept clean. My neighbors in the 400 building were so sweet, they always looked out for me and helped me whenever I needed it. Haven’t met any neighbors in my new apartment. If you’re looking for a good apartment in Alexandria to stay in for a while, magnolia trace is it! It’s well worth the higher cost to have an apartment that is clean and good neighbors who won’t try to steal from you. It’s also a plus to be behind a gate. Over Rated
January 19, 2015Wanted a nice apartment in the Alexandria area and went check these out. The outside and grounds look first class but was EXTREMLY disappointed with the interiors. It reminded me of some cheap apartments I lived in while in college. The insides are plain, basic and not nearly worst the inflated rent.Review from Apartments.com
Overpriced
October 8, 2014Great looking units from the outside, but inside has much to be desired. The pool area was always clean and well kept. The staff was usually nice and professional except for the manager. Pricing is way too much for condition of interiors. Old hot point appliances, white countertops, cheap carpet, and cabinets.
