  • Poor management, insulation, etc.

    I would not recommend this place. Moved here just this past July and ever since I have had problems. The number one problem being you can hear absolutely everything from the upstairs neighbor. Given, my upstairs neighbor is absurdly loud but the insulation is also very poor. Management has also not been very helpful when it comes to resolving our complaints about the noise, leaving it not very enjoyable to live here. There are cracks everywhere in the walls and door frames and the appliances are ...
    not great. I have been extremely disappointed with living here and its not worth the price at all. Parking is also an issue if you are trying to get a spot in the garage, be prepared to wait a long time for a garage spot or you just won't get one at all.

  • Vertical noise insulation is a problem

    July 4, 2024
    Spaces are great. However, parking is on the expensive end ($75/month for outdoor and $150/month for indoor). We have had multiple packages stolen from the mail room as well, which after 3 years, they're finally hiring a security guard for. Not to mention, vertical noise insulation is a joke, especially if you do not have any carpeted areas in your unit.

  • Broken exterior door system

    May 26, 2024
    This place has had a broken door system for over 6 months. This means that after 6pm on weekdays and on weekends you cannot buzz people in or you have physically go down to let someone in! This is a problem if you have deliveries (Uber eats, pizza, groceries,etc) or expecting guests. They continue to say it will be fixed (it has not!) and it's been ongoing for months! For the amount of $$ you pay in rent you should be able to buzz people in like you do in every other apartment in Columbus!!

    As an OSU grad student, I sought a modern, quiet, safe, yet affordable apartment that would suit my location needs. Makley Place is in the heart of it all! Being next to the university and plentiful food options is what sold me on this place. The management team has been amazing with resident events organizations, prompt communication, and is always willing to help me with any questions.

    Definitely not secured and there are homeless people in the building at least once a week. Recommend moving elsewhere especially for the price!
