Looks good, experience not as much
May 23, 2023I lived here for quite a while in one of the studio apartments. Internet was an intermittent issue, as CenturyLink is a pretty garbage provider and it's the only option. Ultimately, Atlas Management has a lot of the same problems corporate property-grubbing entities like it have had recently. The halls and common areas were RARELY ever cleaned, and frequently built up a lot of dust that can bother allergies. The only time they ever had employees on site was to show apartments to new potential ...tenants. They WILL keep your deposit, by the way, no matter how much you clean up, so consider that money lost upon move-in. They also might try to bring in a new potential tenant BEFORE YOU'VE FINISHED MOVING OUT, and even when you contact them about how that's not okay, they'll show up with a potential tenant in the midst of your clean-up efforts and just request you leave the apartment a few minutes while they show it to the potential replacement. The only thing saving them from 1 star in this review is that they did a good job installing a bike rack in my unit upon request. The Margot Will Take Your Money and Give You Broken Applicances
July 8, 2022I recently moved into the Margot, and I wish I didn't sign a year lease. I have lived here a week, and the following has gone wrong: 1. All online sites said that there was one-month free with move-in and they would not give me this promotion. 2. NSF Fee - Before I moved in I tried to link in my account to set up automatic payments. I must have typed my account number incorrectly. I double-checked calling my bank, and they said that there was no attempted transaction. NSF means "non-sufficient ...funds" and it is a term that is used when the holder of a checking account is overdrawn and the bank returns a bounced check. Since no check was bounced and I was able to link an account before the payment was made I was wrongly charged a $35 NSF fine. 3. Broken Dryer - I tried to do laundry and discovered that the dryer does not work. I mentioned this on 7/5, and was called today (7/8) by Blomberg to schedule an appointment. The next available appointment is on July 28, which assuming that they are able to address the concern during the appointment means that I will be going an entire month without a functioning dryer after moving into a new place. 3. Broken Air Conditioner - I tried to turn on the A/C for the first time as it is getting hotter outside, and I got the "E/C" error on the air conditioner. Despite contacting staff, they have not set up a repair. 4. Missing Window Screen/Refrigerator Shelf - One of my windows is missing a screen and the fridge is missing the tops of the climate control drawers. 5. I tried to contact CenturyLink to install internet but they said they couldn't do it until the previous tenant ended their internet service. This was a big headache to resolve and didn't happen at anywhere else that I've lived. 6. The mail key I was given was wrongly keyed and I wasn't able to get my mail for a week.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
