  • Honesty is important

What is written in the description is not correct, there are no tennis courts, I don't believe that this particular website is honest with any of these listings but Mariners Cove is a nice complex that is being destroyed, we had hundreds of beautiful trees on the complex but now they are all being torn out... The carports need to be reinforced.

Hello, thank you for sharing your feedback about Mariners Cove. Our community website does not list tennis courts as an amenity here as we do not have tennis courts. I am unsure where you saw that posted. We would like to address your experience here more directly. Please feel free to reach out to me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com so we can discuss further. -Susan

  • Pet Paradise by the Sea

    January 12, 2021
If you are looking for housing where you can have up to 3 pets, Mariners Cove is great. We have a large dog and we are all very happy to have found someplace nice to live. The grounds are lovely , so it’s easy to take him out for his quick potty breaks , with abundant grassy areas. Walks are fun too. I wish more people took care of their doggy poos, but that is not management’s fault. We have had just a couple of issues since moving in, and everything is resolved quickly. Management responds ...
quickly. Trash and furniture piled up a few weeks ago( people seem to use the trash areas as a dumping ground) but a message to the office and someone was out the next day to clear it. A homeless person with a full grocery cart of stuff was seen gently escorted towards the front gate a week weeks ago. It’s a loosely gated community. I feel pretty safe here. The location is ideal, we moved from out of state and enjoy being close to the beach with the cooler temps and proximity to the freeways . Mariners Cove is not quite luxury living , but the amenities are pretty great and when the gym reopens we will be glad. People decorate their patios and seem happily settled in. I would sign the lease all over again and we hope to be here with our furry friend for quite awhile.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write such an awesome review! We are pleased you have happily settled in with your pets and you are enjoying your home and all that our community has to offer. It has been and still is an ever changing world with this pandemic and we will be happy when the state mandates we can open all of our amenities again. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and valued feedback. - Susan

  • Non Resident Review

    December 18, 2018
I went to talk to Paige on behalf of a resident that was having trouble paying the rent for that month. She was not pleasant to interact with and was not helpful until she was forced to provide the information I needed to help the resident. I don't know if she has a problem with the resident and so by default, she had an issue with me. I felt disrespected and as if she tried extremely hard to belittle me and the person I tried to help but I would not live on this property.

Hello, with issues like this, we require the actual resident to be present. We cannot discuss rent or finances on behalf of a resident with a non-resident. I hope this makes sense! -George

The pools and grounds are nice and maintained, staff is helpful. the kitchen needs updating and the washers and dryers are iffy sometimes. I like how its close to the beach and is about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown

Dog-friendly, close-ish to the beach. Love almost everything about this community, except for the people running it. Maintenance does shoddy work and management/corporate allow it to happen, they will never take your side. We found black mold from repairs done when the last tenant was living here; it exacerbated our health problems but corporate (Aimco) refused to test the substance and covered up that it even happened. The leasing manager refuses to speak to us now. We find stuff broken and ...
glued back together all the time in our apartment. Parking is a ripoff and don't let the "gate" fool you - in less than a year we've been living here, 2 of our neighbors' vehicles have been stolen from the parking lot (that we know of).

Great neighborhood, mostly cool neighbors. Quiet, lots of families, near elementary school. No real issues.

  • Easy Livin At Mariner's Cove

    July 25, 2015
Friends have teased us about repeating ourselves. When we talk about living in Mariner's Cove, either my wife or I will make the comment, "It seems like a real neighborhood." Designers of apartment complexes try to make their properties appear as livable as possible. Marine's Cove has succeeded in doing just that. With the cottage styled buildings arranged in city block fashion, the complex resembles a quaint beach neighborhood. The landscape includes grassy noles and well placed trees. Wild ...
parrots have made Mariner's Cove a regular stop in their hunt for berries and seeds from the surrounding plants and trees. Also, there is a great gym. Other amenities include two pools, Jacuzzis, dog playground, and tennis courts. The atmosphere in this complex is quiet and friendly. The resident population is very diverse. People of various races, religions, ages and national origins seem to live together in harmony. There is a large number of young couples with kids, but the young ones I have encountered have been well mannered and respectful. We live directly across from the second pool and a playground. So far, we have not had any problems. There is a 10 o'clock quiet rule that is respected and enforced. The Marine's Cove staff is profession, friendly and responsive. We are very happy with their service. However, it's not all sunshine and roses at Mariner's Cove. At the beginning, we were not told about the extra monthly fees for water, trash collection, and pest control until after we had signed the rental agreement. Also, we understood that we had air conditioning. However, we do not. When I called the office about it. I was told that no units here have air conditioning, but this amenity is listed on their website. So, heads up !!!!

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on scale of 1 (below average) and to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider needs as part of the school selection process.
