The apartments are priced on the higher end, but if you look closely it appears as if the owners ran out of money half way through renovating the apartments. The open floor plan seen in the pictures is not the apartment you will get. Things have gone downhill from the day we moved in. The price is way to high for what you get. Can not wait for the lease to end so we can get out of here. Don’t let the little things fool you.

My boyfriend just moved here as i recommended him and we had bunch of issues already, and everytime he tries contacting management, it seems like office is closed or no one to get hold of or get rude reply from amanda. Especially amanda is the rudest there. He showed me how rude and annoyed she sounds when he contacted about few questions and concerns. If you dont wanna help customer, you shouldnt be working in service department. I also told him to report to management and bbb as well

We know the reviewer below and some people just can't ever be satisfied. Come look and see for yourself. It's not a big deal to ride the freight elevator or take the stairs, but my understanding is the passenger will be running any day for tenant use. It is worth putting up with a few inconveniences because there really is nothing else like it in Evansville. It's a great place to live.

This apartment is going to be the "place to live." You get to live in a new and completely updated space, all while residing in a historic Evansville building. The apartments are clean, renovated and inviting for tenants. The tenants and management are all friendly and welcoming. I can not wait to see what the commercial space on the ground floor evolves into. This will be the place to be by the end of the year!

The McCurdy apartment building in downtown Evansville, IN has beautiful structure. You won't find another apartment building like this one. The lobby is a great venue for receptions and events. The apartment units have pretty wall colors, nice wooden floors, new stainless steel appliances and many other great features. This place still needs some fixes but, management is working diligently to accomplish those and make this apartment building even better for their tenants.

I have been in the McCurdy since May, when it opened. There is no passenger elevator. There is a man who runs the freight elevator at specified times but you sometimes have to phone him if he is off doing something else. Otherwise you have to carry groceries up a narrow stairway to the fifth floor or the floor you live on. Security is a joke. If you want to get in the building from the Riverside Dr entrance you just pull hard on one of the doors and you're in. Same is true for 1st Street ...

entrance. I came down last week and the 1st St door was standing wide open, blowing back and forth in the wind. Units come with stacked washer and dryer but in most apartments they are sitting in the bedroom, not in a closet or cabinet. Lobby floor and stairs are often dusty and need cleaning. I have a feeling there will be a mass exodus in the spring when a lot of people's year lease is up.
