Cockroaches and mice
February 14, 2019I lived in building 415 in an upstairs unit and then a downstairs unit. We moved into the apartments from a nice home out of state as a temporary living situation for a job. Within a few days of arrival we started noticing that we were itching a lot, especially at night. We first attributed it to a different brand of soap, then to the water, and then we realize that the itching was worse at night and started noticing little spots on our sheets that we hadn’t ever experienced before. The spots ...started showing up on the bedframe as well. It didn’t take much looking around from that point to notice little thin bugs which turned out to be bedbugs!! The management company seems to be shocked and a palled, especially the on-site manager, they made it seem like it had never been a problem before. They offered to move us downstairs although it required for flooding $195 of our nonrefundable $200 deposit because we were choosing to move into a different unit and have our things treated versus choosing to stay in the unit full of insecticide. We went ahead and did this, we should’ve known at that point to run. The new unit came with German cockroaches. They had brand new carpeting and newly painted walls but it stunk almost of cat pee. Similar smell. When we were shown the unit the temperature was down to almost 50° in there and the smell wasn’t really noticeable. After moving in we turned the aC down so the temp rose to 80° and the smell was unbearable. There were a little a holes in the walls of the few tapped around them piles of cockroaches would fall out. Water damage from the unit above soon started showing at self in the room that had the worst infestation of the cockroaches which made sense because cockroaches like a moist environment. We talked to the on-site manager who gave us lipservice and then we talked to corporate. After talking to corporate, the on-site manager then went from being friendly and wanting to seem helpful in to the most obtuse character you could ever imagine blaming every issue on us even though we had an audio recording of the exterminator saying that these have been ongoing problems because the company won’t pay for proper maintenance pest control. We simply left. I would recommend that anyone who is considering this place pay particular attention to the predatory policies when it comes to the posits, lack of choice, and got feelings. Aweful
October 19, 2018If you like living in an apartment where they don't fix anything this is the spot. My air conditioner won't cool my apartment below 72 degrees. Management says that that's the best the air conditioner can do and won't replace it. I argued that that's not what an air conditioner should be like what they said there's nothing they could do. Also most of the worst neighbors I've ever had. The type of people that put couches out on their front porch and throw every cigarette but they can in the yard ...are the only type of neighbors I had. Not good apartments
June 11, 2018The pictures doesn’t show the true look of the apartments, ours was dirty when we moved in and the Air Condition didn’t work half of the time, the managers took there sweet time getting someone out there to fix it.
