Could have been good to great, but way too loud by their own making
August 12, 2025I was in-between a one star vs two star, either way it doesn't matter a whole lot. Moved in a little under 2 months ago. I was pretty meticulous about choosing a place downtown to move into and think most of this just unfortunately getting a tour when I thought everything was fine. Biggest issue is, if you live facing south to Huger street and near above the pop up dance studio, "The Drop In" you get to partake in their absurdly loud bass every morning. I don't mind hearing noise from outside, ...but when you are multiple stories above the ground level and your floor and body constantly feel the vibrations from said dance studio, and management basically says they can't do anything until they move out...makes you wonder they let them move in to begin with, that is if tenant well being actually matters (The lease agreement speaks to some of this regarding noise levels, but I suppose since its a retail business below they have different standards they can get away with). If you work from home at all, that also becomes an issue. Aside from that, some minor stuff like certain appliances not working right within the first month but that isn't the end of the world. Aside from that its pretty fine, and I'd probably be willing to consider it a 3-4 star place if it wasn't for the fact my floors/bed shakes every morning. Just make sure you don't live above any of the dance studios, cause the sound insulation is dubious at best. I think this problem is more of a function of the owning management group rather then the onsite staff, they seem reasonable.Property Manager Responded
