Horrible process

Rats, Roaches, and Rude People
June 30, 2022I’ve been wanting to write a review for awhile, but just hadn’t had the energy to come up with the appropriate words and issue I had with this complex. When Mercantile took over, I was immediately put on a “VIP trash” program which I found to be absolutely ridiculous considering there’s a trash chute 10 ft from most apartments and charged even though I had not requested this service. People left their trash out constantly at inappropriate times. The building stank of garbage. I saw roaches ...several times, but the straw that broke the camels back for me was finding a lovely mouse living in my hot water closet in my apartment now. In the four years I had lived there, never had I had an issue with having pet food out. All of the sudden I had mice. Absolutely DISGUSTED. Clearly a side effect of the massive hall garbage. When I emailed asking for immediate help, I was met with “they can come spray around your apartment but we aren’t paying for that.” It was the last straw. The day I moved out I saw another rat run down the hall as I finished loading the last box. This apartment complex also redesigned the dog park to include a massive pet jungle gym that’s covered in paw splitting sharp edges, high ramps that lead to injury should your dog jump off of them, and a giant astroturf grass cover which, as a previous animal professional who has worked animals on astroturf settings, astroturf like that gets EXCRUCIATINGLY hot for paws in the summer. Complete lack of competency showing for whoever was in charge of that. The few office people I interacted with in any capacity were rude and snippy, the pool is constantly packed with people who don’t live there, no one picks up any of their dog poop, and the price they’re asking versus what they give you is not worth it in the slightest. All in all I highly recommend looking at the newer surrounding apartments before ever stepping foot in this complex.Property Manager Responded

Run Away Fast!
May 19, 2022Mercantile management is a joke! Blame it on being overwhelmed. Communication is terrible, coupled with lies that derive from lack of accountability. They literally play with peoples lives. We almost faced eviction due to mismanagement of our residential ledger. Drive in gates stay broken. Walk in gates can be entered by reaching over and engaging the handle. My building is completely insecure. Implemented a door entry app that doesn't work consistently. All the external doors to my building are ...either broken, propped open, or permanently shut. The internal door slams loudly echoing down the hall. The so called new trash policy no one wanted or needed has the hallways smelling like hot garbage! Insult to injury there is a $25 fee for having a trashcan we didn't want or need left outside the door. Loud motor bikes often scream in the early mornings. Dog poop is often left in the actual stairwell as well as in the grass areas. (has gotten a little better)Refrigerator hums loudly. Maintenance is one of the only bright spots. They are prompt though the have changed the crew at least three times since we've been here. New really cheap automatic door locks (no one requested) that still require a fab are a laugh. (could have kept the key). All just lots of lipstick on a pig for the price of well located slop.Property Manager Responded

May 3, 2021We love the living at this apartment community. The location is walking distance from the Trinity River Trails and several restaurants. We also love the communities facilities like the pool and gym. They are very nice and kept extremely clean and ordered. We never have issues with neighbors and even though most of the community events were cancelled through COVID, they still have really nice events like free yoga or painting classes which you can sign up for.Property Manager Responded

Great Property!
December 8, 2020Awesome finish out, unique layouts and spacious floor plans. Property is kept well. Parking is a little crowded but there is the option for street parking on several sides of the property. Office is very active and communicative.
