Apartments in decline
January 30, 2024I moved in September 2021 and since living here every year the quality of the complex has declined greatly. Grass is covered in dog poop. Pool lacks lounge chairs and dog park is not regularly maintained. "Gym" is terrible.Review from Apartments.com
Overpriced and badly maintained
July 21, 2022We moved in here back when it was still new and the staff at the time was friendly and helpful. Over the course of a year, changes had been made to the staff and eventually the property owners switched. The pandemic made things worse. All amenities were closed off for a whole year and the only numbers available to speak to someone were based in Florida. The gate was constantly broken during rainfall and even worse, the area floods. Unfortunately the only sense of security were cameras in the ...front office building, otherwise there are no cameras throughout the buildings so anyone could just drive in when the gate was malfunctioning. Most tenants had dogs they did not pick up after despite there being bags available and this was never enforced. There are no carports or assigned parking spaces despite the original layout plans on the site showing certain features were supposed to be available including a childrens playground. Rent increased last year $75 and all tenants were forced to enroll into a Rhino policy with no option to pay deposit up front. This policy I found out later does not insure anything for the renter, in fact it’s security that the owner will get paid and the renter will be liable for reimbursement. Despite cleaning and fixing up holes before moving out, we still received a large bill for basic cleaning, paint, patching holes and even pest control all of which are part of basic wear and tear. Not only is this place overpriced but the bedrooms are small, the closets are crammed, the flooring was shoddy and requests for services would sometimes take months to resolve. Even basic things like changing ac filters and smoke alarms were not done frequently. The management’s way of giving back is by hosting random social activities with inexpensive food and drinks. This is probably the worst place I’ve resided in and the only time I’ve been charged for wear and tear in my 15+ years of renting. Do not rent here, not only is the rhino policy non refundable but you will get charged excessive amounts for the most basic things. Management will not respond immediately to requests or complaints either. There are better rental options in weslaco.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Worst ever!
July 25, 2021I regret getting an apartment here. Over priced, horrible apartments, management and maintenance. If you get an apartment here be ready to clean it yourself before move in because they don’t do that and to have a lot of stuff wrong with the apartment you get, it doesn’t come repaired so make sure you fill out the form. I do NOT recommend.Review from Apartments.com
horrible management
March 25, 2021I used to love this place when I first moved in here. After they went into new management it was beyond horrible. Any problems you have with neighbors or maintenance. It’ll go unresolved. They don’t care about their residents. Worst place to live now. Can’t wait for my lease to end to leaveReview from Apartments.com
poor management skills
January 8, 2021Live in this apartment since they opened up. In the beginning it was a good place. As time went on and they were under new management it started to go south. Called and opened up request to have some issues resolved, maintenance came one and did a half job on my plumbing. The apartment upstairs had leaks that ran down to my floor and got my personal belongings wet. I would not recommend these apartments to any one looking for a place to live at.Review from Apartments.com
Poorly Managed Property
August 19, 2020I lived at Midtown for a year June 2019 to June 2020. The street in front of these apartments floods when it rains. I had plumbing problems off and on the whole time I lived here and there was black mold in the AC closet. I made several calls to have these issues addressed and they were never taken care of. When I moved out at the end of my lease the management company decided they were going to keep my deposit and charge me an additional $181 to paint and for leaving at the end of my lease? The ...did not give any deposits back even though I left my apartment clean. I attempted to speak with the apartment manager to resolve and she refused to acknowledge any fault. These apartments were nice enough when they were brand new. My apartment became uninhabitable due to backed up water and mold. To management please don't "answer" this review, because you had every opportunity to make things right before you cashed my checks.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
